Yeah it becomes a never ending cycle, because I always end up making something out of leftover materials, but that usually requires buying some additional material...
Its a great cycle...
It was mostly on the fly, but I could definitely give you the material list and the dimensions for all the pieces. I'll see what I can throw together tomorrow and post it up here.
Nice! That's good to know!
I think I'm probably gonna end up going with a 1/4" round rod in the long run though, because I feel it will give me more stability with the modular set up I have in...
I created the design myself based on the last few packs I've had that I have really liked. No matter how much I like a pack, there always seems to be something that could be better about it, so I...
Right now I'm just using some HMG stays from my southwest 2400 pack.
I have some aluminum on the way though.

Sourced the stays from here. Its actually pretty cheap for...
Just made this pack recently and have been wanting to show it off a little. The pack has 50 liters of internal capacity, about 60 liters or so with all the external pockets combined. It has two...
Are you willing to sell just the tarp?
If so how much would you want for it?
Has anyone here tried attaching the shock cord right to the tarp and then attaching the guyline to the shock cord?
This seems like it would be much easier and simpler.
I'm in!
Thank you for this opportunity!
I love this forum lol
Thanks for the info, that sounds amazing! Its getting harder and harder not to leave early for my trip out there!
Does anyone here have any suggestions about tree strap length when hammocking on the JMT? I regularly use 6', but I'm wondering if I should go longer on this trail.
Thanks for all the help guys
I'll probably end up making something around 60"x10.5ft
The only reason I wanted one really wide in the first place is because I have always really like the eno double...
I'm about 160-165lbs
I've been looking at the 1.1, thats pretty much what I'm leaning towards right now.
I found 72" width on DIY gear supply, looks like I'll have to hem on extra material If I...
I am looking to make a DIY hammock, and I would like to pretty much go as light as possible, but I'm not sure what material would be best.
I'm thinking the dimensions will be around 126''x80" or so....
found
ended up getting a tadpole instead...
lol
I'll take the tadpole!
pm coming
I figured I might as well at least try to find something on here, even if I'm just saving a couple bucks.
Im looking for something a little closer to $200 or so. I'll probably end up going with...
I'm interested in this tarp if it is still available.
Is there any way you could get some pictures of it up?
Looking to buy a cuben fiber tarp. Something along the lines of the standard ZPacks Cuben tarp, but would be willing to check out any type of cuben tarp.
Thanks! Hope to hear from someone!
Thanks for the replies guys!
What I'm wondering though is if there is a knot that would be safe to use for connecting the whoopie to the tree strap instead of larksheading the whoopie to the tree...
Yeah I have played around with that a little, and I can always clip the hammock right to the tree strap, but I still want to have the whoopie be as short as possible. Im Just kind of nit picking...
Ok so im trying to work out all the kinks in my suspension system, and I could use some expert advice from some of the nice folks on here. :D
I'm pretty much using the dutch setup with tree...
Yeah, I guess having the tarp prussiked to the line would be pretty nice for moving it fr side to side. I guess I'll just have to keep playing with different ideas.
Hi everyone, I'm new here and relatively new to hammock camping in general.
I'm working on getting my whole hammock rig together and I was wondering what some of the pros are when it comes to using...
In fact if they're medium or large i'll take the seal skinz.
I'm interested in the seal skinz, what size are they?
