If you are considering PA, look at Pine Creek near Wellsboro PA (if the water is up). It is in the "Grand Canyon" of PA. I was kayaking/hammocking there two weeks ago.
Happy hang'n from Pottstown.
Grizz - I think you are right the whoopie hook is probably only deep enough for one section of cord.
Thanks for the suggestion with the diamond knot, I might have to try that although I think it...
I have seen the Profs video - it is partly what inspired me to mod my bridge. But I am sure there are many ways to do this and I was thinking of incorporating whoopie hooks for ease of setup - but...
I am about to change the suspension webbing on my JRB BMBH to whoopies to give me a longer reach between trees and hopefully make set up easier. I thought while doing this maybe I would try to...
This is my current section hiking setup too - BMBH with full size All Season NeoAir in the pocket. I would say I have gone down to mid 30's with it so far. Just the pad and a Western Mountaineering...

Bought new and then I sewed it in half and added shock cord and cord locks (you may want to replace with stronger shock cord or other line).

I have a superfly and it provides good coverage over the bridge.
It sounds like you have it pulled a little too tight between the trees. The directions say to pull the suspension tight until the netting gets taught and then back off an inch or two. This never...
I have a Western Mountaineering Ultralite and it works well for me as a top quilt in the hammock. Of course it is great as a regular sleeping bag on the ground as well. Full zipper is important. I...
I think where the hammock comes up on the sides will still be cold because your pad will not be wide enough to hug you around the shoulders. I have a 26" wide pad in my bridge hammock and it is just...
I have a WB Superfly and cut all of the D rings off. Keeps the extra bulk and weight out of my snakeskins. I broke (not sawed) the straight side of the D ring just in case I wanted to slip them back...
Yeah, thanks this is for my 11 year old son. I'm rock'n a ULA Circuit myself and love it.
I saw that one - they want like $23 for shipping though.
Looking to buy a used Osprey Talon 44 or Hornet 46 in size S/M.
I have a superfly with my JRB BMBH and it fits well. Having the panel pulls really helps the superfly get nice and wide to accomadate the width of the spreader bars. The superfly is a very nice tarp.
Do i need to run drip lines on my CRL if i have snakeskins (no-see-um) on both sides of the tarp?
When I ordered my WBBB it said it was in stock but took about 4 weeks to get to me. I assumed after that experience that Brandon just does not have time to keep up with an inventory update on his...
When I go cuben it will be black.
i just ordered a NeoAir All Season for my bridge. Supposed to be more durable, less crickly and an R value of 4.9 Of course it weighs a little more but I am hoping to use it instead of an UQ.
No longer looking.
Hey all - what is the best way to treat an end of shock cord that is freshly cut so it doesn't fray?
Thank you BlazeAway for spreading the love (dutchlove) – much appreciated!
I run a CRL on my tarp and I only need one of the Dutch Tarp Flyz (Dutch sells them in pairs). If anyone has an extra I would be interested in buying it from you. THX
Most of the whites are wooded. Some of the higher elevation sections that are above treeline-ish are where you technically are supposed to stay in the AMC huts. I have not hiked the entire AT but you...
links don't work for me…
I'm looking at Wilderness Logics Oldman Winter for my bridge…
Very nice. That is the most cuben I have ever seen.
I'm in, I'm in.
Pics would help you clear this stuff out faster...
I'd be more Interested in the orange, Liquid Logic xp9 on the left.
Just FYI the discount code did not work for me yesterday.
PM sent with questions.
small? medium? or large?
Looking for a large tarp (for a bridge hammock): JRB 11' x 10' Tarp or OES winter tarp. Let me know. Thanks.
Just got a JRB BMBH and was wondering if anyone carries spreader bars that are one-piece. So far I like the 32" length of the stock spreader but I am looking for lighter weight options. My stock...
Looking for a 3-season down underquilt - full length or 3/4 length.
Whoa, that is a nice piece - great looking work.
I hope the hammock does not rip on you - like it did when Lawson was testing cuben hammocks.
I just got my 1.1 single layer from Brandon and it took over a month (just FYI)
Yeah Lawson doesn't seem to have any tarps right now - I was hoping to see some with integrated doors that he mentioned doing in batches but...
Nice pics Floatinonair. I like the looks of that color and the amount of light it seems to block out.
It is ironic that your photos are around Mt. Greylock because my next northbound section hike...
