Something I didn't know thanks for bringing it up. I rented a pair from a lodge near gooseberry that were $12 a day.

State parks rent them along with a few of the lodges along the north shore. This weekend was my first experience with snowshoes and all I can say is that I won't be walking in the snow without them.

But the defiantly are a luxury.

I picked up a size medium from fleet farm and the legs were really short. I used mine for the material though so it didn't matter much.
