I use two seperate lines that have bungie prusiks on each line. The tarp has s-biners on each side that I clip onto the prusiks. It has all the adjustability of a CRL just less line to deal with.

When I didn't have tieouts on my first hammock I would lean a trekking pole along side the hammock and would stop the swinging after i got in by just holding on to it against the ground.
