Morning bump - Price reduced on tarp
Morning bump - Tarp still available.
So I'm compiling a list possible tarp options for my WBRR and I would love some advice if anyone has it. Basically, I'm hoping to sell my current HG Winter Palace because the ridgeline is a bit too...
WBBB is sold, tarp still available. Willing to negotiate a little on price.
1:HG Cuben Fiber Winter Palace with 11ft ridgeline: SOLD
Bought last month, the only usage I got out of it was some back yard time and a recent 5 day trip to the Boundary Waters.
The only reason...
Hello all.
The title pretty much covers it, does the 12' Winter Palace cover the Ridgerunner?
I've an 11' Winter Palace right now, which worked fine with my WBBB, but now I have the...

Here was my setup in the Smokies. WBBB with a Cloudburst Tarp.
Now I have a WBRR and a HG Winter Palace, hopefully I'll have some pictures of that in a few weeks
I own both, but I prefer the ridgerunner. A bridge hammock just gives me the perfect lay every time and I never have to fiddle with it. I never have to get up in the middle of the night because my...
Ill take it.
1. Havnt had trouble yet.
2. No, everything sets up really quick and easy.
3. Absolutely. Its my perfect hammock! Gathered end just doesnt do it for me.
4. It depends on what you are...
Doors are worth it. All it took was one experience in the mountains with freezing rain and shifting wind for me to realize how quickly wind can rob you of heat.
Look at it this way. If you have...
Everything is sold and shipped except for the High Sierra Titan

Well, im a bit big in the middle myself. Im around 220lbs at 6ft, a quick measurement gave me a 42" waist. The pack fits me pretty well, and the straps have plenty room for adjustments.

I believe it is argon, and std dimensions
I've been buying stuff up for awhile now trying to get my ideal setup for backpacking, so during that time I've used and changed out quite a bit of gear. Well, I think now I've found my ideal...
If you only want them for porch mode, no need to actually buy hiking poles. Just walk out in the woods a bit and find some branches or sticks that are the length you want. Stick em in the ground,...
This is great! I was looking around at snakeskins for my cuben tarp, this may be just what I need!
This sounds like something for me! Cant say for sure yet, have to wait until its a bit closer to make sure the schedule checks out, but I should know well before it stars :D
I actually use both. I prefer just one long continuous ridgeline, but havnt had problems with either setup.
I picked up a cheap fleece sleeping bag from wal-mart for $20. Only rated to 50 degrees or so, but it works fine on those hot summer nights here in NC.
I use an Incubator on my BB with no problems, cant go wrong with it!

My setup during an outing in the Smoky Mountains last fall. I've made quite a few changes since then, so hopefully I'll have pictures of the updated rig soon!
I just got my RR as well. I cant see myself sleeping in any other hammock now, it absolutely blows everything else out of the water in terms of comfort.
I tried it in the smokey mountains on a snowy windy night. Kept me warm and toasty!
I just got my winter palace from them last week when I said I needed it for a may 2nd trip. They got it to me well before I needed it, about 1.5-2 weeks.
UQ is priority for sure. I've never felt cold on top, but a cool breeze can ruin your night if you arent protecting your butt
Oh god, my life summed up.
Happy customers make happy businesses!
availability and price, that's why I guess they would be considered "beginner" hammocks. If someones new to hammocking, I guess they would be more inclined to spend $60 on an ENO instead of $150+...
There are plenty of vendors here, be sure to look around. That said, I also have a WBBB and 20degree Incubator from HG and it works just fine. Hooks on nice and easy and plenty warm, but the wind...
From experience with setting up a tarp in my backyard, I get condensation on the inside of the tarp almost all the time. Not a whole lot you can do about it from what I've found. Pitching it wide...
Great looking place!
Very nice. I hope to be there myself in about a week!
It depends. I "usually" bring my UQ with me, but I dont always use it. I've had some nights where it was around 80 degrees and I may as well have been swimming in a cloud it was so humid. During...
I wouldnt mind doing that myself.
One of these days I'll get to go to one of these. So far, I've had finals right at the time of the hang, so no time to go. Maybe next year!
Looks like you made it just in time

I've got one, they are very good nice weather hammocks; But in bad weather, I think the length (11 ft) can be a bit troublesome to keep it completely out of the rain.
Warbonnet Cloudburst
Thanks everyone. I ordered the UQ protector from 2QZQ and will give it a test run whenever it comes in. If anything, I can get the tarp later if I find I need more.
Good to know. I may just try to UQ protector and see if that solves the problem before I pull out the wallet for a winter tarp.
I used my WBBB on this trip, It packs a bit smaller and its hard to give up that footbox ;p
I recently went out on my first real camping trip using a hammock in the Smokey Mountains and ran into one problem. The wind in that area sucked all the heat out of my underquilt at night. I...
No bear sightings, but there was some poop right on the trail headed up to Mt Sterling (I think its one of the pictures).
Hah, was thinking that exact thing on the way down.
Yup, one of my buddies did open carry.
We took the Big Creek Trail to campsite 37 and stayed a couple days, then we took the Swallow Creek Trail to the Mt Sterling Ridge Trail and planned to...
