I just ordered a NX250 today after selling my NA. I'm stoked! Thanks for the really nice pictures... they sealed the deal for me.

Yea Chuck.... that's the only downside of the Whoopie arrangement is all the extra rope involved. I was able to develop and test the UCR's for my original application and they work fine for that b/c...
I have a nice set of slema fids that I never use... I use a modified aluminum "standard solid" fid (not sure of the name) to make my UCR's. It makes life ALOT easier.
Post up some pictures of your...
Sold pending payment.... to scooterdogma... PM inbound.

OK guys....
I love the Clark's Jungle hammocks, but I'm selling this one, b/c I think I need the one that's slightly larger in size. This one is in "like new" condition.... as I've only slept in...
Sweet!! You are gonna love it!

Man... I gotta get me a NX250!

Hey caboyer... make a whoopie out of the 7/64 and see if it works. You can experiment with the buried section length and see how it works.
How much of the amsteel 7/64 do you have? I'd swap you...
Yes.... I use 1/4" Samson Tenex in my UCR's. I built some out of 3/8" Tenex, but they were too big (fat & heavy) for my original application. In my 1/4" UCR's with a half hitch lock, they don't move...
I wonder if they'd give me a discount for a NX250. I bought a north american from them 3-4 years ago, but never got any kind of discount code... I'd like to sell my NA and try the new one.

Yup... that's how it works... in general.

You are correct. If you are worried about the bark on the tree, you should use tree huggers like everyone else and simply attach the UCR to the hugger using the static line eye loop as a choker.
...
The buried portion is roughly 12" long... but like I said, it doesn't have the same dynamics, nor does it work the same as a whoopie sling. The buried section (static line) is different from the...
I agree.... I'm dying to get one. Some of you guys with the 250's need to post up detailed pictures. I'm gonna sell my NA for one.:scared:

PM sent.

Does anyone know when/where Clark gives discount codes for online orders???
THanks.

B/C these are not whoopie slings, they do not work like whoopie slings and don't have the same rope dynamics or constriction mechanics involved. I tie a simple half hitch as a "lock" for the...
I do make them and sell them... I've sold a ton of them to guys on archerytalk.com.

Similar, but quite different than a whoopie sling. A whoopie is one piece of rope, this is two seperate pieces of rope.
The smallest whoopie sling that I could find was 1/2" material... that's...
Hi guys...
I've been using a Clark Jungle hammock for a few years now and just found this forum, so I'd like to say hello. I mainly use my hammock while spike camping in Colorado while trying to...
