Sadly, work commitments and vacation planning have thwarted me again! To those of you to whom this will be your first MAHHA, you are going to have a great time!! Have fun everyone. ( Sorry for not...
I've missed the last couple of hangs!! It is good t to see everyone had a good time. I'm hoping to make the fall hang this year.

No truer words can be expressed about the fantastic people the new hangers will meet! We ( Alex and myself) hopefully will see everyone at the spring hang. I hope to see a lot of pics. And perhaps a...
I too will be missing this time. 😢 we have a family event to attend and will be out of the area. Will definitely be making the spring hang!
My girlfriends son asked me if it was okay if we come back for the fall hang! For me that is a huge success!! Looks like I have to get some more gear for us! If anyone lives in that area, keep an eye...
I just heard on the radio this morning for those coming in from the north, be careful. There will be a lot of traffic by the Carlisle exits. There is a car show this weekend. I know traffic can back...
I will not be by myself this year! I am bringing my girlfriends son. I have updated the spread sheet. It's not his first time hanging but, it will be his first group hang! This is going to be...
Ah yeah!! Can't wait! [o]TTeR the tags look amazing. Hopefully, when I take the group picture I get the entire group in frame this time!
I roughly spent around $45. I couldn't find straight enough regular 2x2's. I wound up having to get pressure treated lumber. I was charged extra to have it cut at the big name place that begins...
The Yukon hammock was my second. I think it is a nice beginner setup. I did replace the rope suspension and switched to whoppie slings. If you look through my pictures from the spring hang, i have it...
I used the netted one at the spring hang with my stand. I must admit the hammeck netty is a lot more comfortable. Although, the Yukon is a great starter hammock.
Lol sadly, I didn't win a tarp. I tried this year as well but, I left everyone else win!
I used mine at the fall hang. Kept me dry on the first night with it raining. I still haven't uploaded my pics. (I guess I should do that soon!) [emoji6]
Finishing up packing and will be on the road shortly! This couldn't get here fast enough! I hardly slept due to the excitement! 😁
Well the job prospect fell through. I will be there Friday!
I can bring my Kelty Noah 12 x 12 just in case.
When I get home I'll put myself on the spreadsheet. I might be starting a new job and I'm not sure if I will be there Friday night. I may leave early Saturday morning ( I will not try to clean out...
Congratulations!!
Fortunately, I not being one to throw away things (cue the theme from horders!) still have my vehicle card and my totally awesome name badge that otter made! I too would like to see the demonstration...
I just ordered two for myself. I needed one that was smaller than my Kelty Noah 12 and these are a little bigger than my Hammockbliss tarp.
My first hammock was the bliss no see um. I liked it and I think if is a good starter hammock.
I'm in and thank you!
The Maha is a great place to learn and see everything hammock related. You can learn so much from going to it. I too am fairly new to hammock camping and have learned a lot from attending these...
As of now I'm in. The only variables are employment and if I can finally talk my girlfriend into joining me!
I am thinking of trying the angular modification to the 2x2's and adding carabiners to the ridge pole prusiks. I think I'm catching that diy bug that is going around ;)
I have it over my ridge pole. I'm not sure of when I'll get it set up again. I did have a pic of it from the spring MAHA this year in my gallery. I know it didn't help that the ground was very soft...
I have a question to all of the stand users. When you setup your tarp, does it really sag when you get in your hammock? I noticed mine does I'm not sure why?? I am currently using a Kelty Noah 12
I got my under quilt yesterday! I have to say I am very impressed with your craftsmanship! I can't wait to try it out.

I'll take the torso length diy rip stop UQ . Pm me your Paypal info
550 is what I used. I am thinking of adding carabiners my whoopie slings were pulling too much on my prusik line from the shackle to the pole.
Mine was made with pressure treated 2x2's. Like the other posts have stated, you will have to carefully examine each piece for potential structural weaknesses i.e. knots in the wood. Mine held up...
Like I have seen with the others, "No pics or it didn't happen!" So here is mine ( Also note, the one picture is a two for one!! I also completed my PLUQ!! Which I used at this years Spring MAHA):
Donna, I will be brining my turtle dog stand. (I'm actually putting it together right now!) I also have a bag of charcoal sitting in storage. I'm not sure how much is left but, I can bring whatever I...
Here is a link to the item on ebay. I have to say IMHO this person or persons are very professional. The included paper work and condition of the item were exceptional:

I got mine on Ebay. Excellent experience with the seller. If you would like when I get home I can look him up and get you some more info
I can't wait for this!! I had a blast the group hand in October. I am getting the items together and building a turtledog stand and will bring it down for those who are curious about them.
I am curious as well. Somewhere, I think in my sisters basement is my old sleeping bag. Granted, I am still contemplating winter hanging but I think I will sick to the 3 season hanging for now. I...
I'm in! Thank you for your generosity.
Well thanks top the weather, most of the vendors at our local farmers market were not open this weekend. So its off to search craigslist, Ebay, and Amazon for a machine.
I was thinking of getting one so I could "jump in head first" and try my hand at my making an under and top quilt. I know by the ratings these might be decent for spring or fall hangs. But I think I...
I just did a quick search and couldn't find if anybody had posted about this so, I figured I would let everyone know about some sleeping bags that I found on woot.com for $14.99. I am posting it in...
I'm in thank you!
I'm in, and thank you!
This had definitely made me work on getting my winter gear in order! That, and making sure my calendar is clear! Since I am new to the "hanging" world I know that there is so much to learn. I just...
I just saw the post and it practically is in my back yard!! Unfortunately, I had made plans for this weekend. If anyone needs anything though, I can drop items off. Just let me know I will try and...
I just picked up a couple myself!! I am going to give it a shot this weekend. Just trying to figure out the draw cords at the end. (Very and I mean Very new to sewing)
Man I can't believe I missed this!! Right in my neck of the woods (so to speak!) Unfortunately, I was on call and could not have made it anyway. :(
My very first hang ever was up at Dingmans/Stokes last month. Count me in!! I has such a blast meeting so many fantastic people. I am slowly starting to improve my gear and knowledge of this...
I have to say that I had a blast this weekend! (since this was my official first hang ever!) Seeing everyone's setups has given me a case of hammock and gear envy. Cue the web searching and penny...
