The trouble with these is that they project a dot rather than a line, if that makes sense? The laser levelers produce an arc of light, thus giving you a line to use.

You need to take into account the differing baffle lengths on a Karo, the inner side of a baffle will be shorter then the outer side.

Can you change the presser foot pressure? I find that helps, mine used to look like yours too.
