as for side zipper i just got one i like the bottom entry much better. less fiddling around with after a long day. i just got back...

its an expedition hh n shiping included
flash and shiping is included
hennessy is brand new never been used 100$
jet boil is blue only used a few times to play around with, like new 80$ flexible on the price
really it rarelly ever happens, plus if you had a pad or uq they cant get you. your in the woods bug bites happen lol
ya the hh tarp is loud in the wind lol, im new to the whole tarp thing im use to just pitching my tent n not worring about the wind.
i kinda wanna get a bigger tarp for winter. my base weight is...
i looked at the jrb hammock hut, does the stock hh tarp get the uq soaked or will it be ok if i pitch it low
im saving up 4 the nest but im going to be doing alot of backpacking this winter, well i do it all year nonstop. but this will be my first winter without a tent.
could the nest fit inside to uc,...
im might buy it fot fall n winter. i dont have a uq yet but a uq and the oc seem better then the ss.
plus it looks like it woul give me better rain protection with my stock tarp
im thinking of buying just the overcover not the whole ss. has anyone used just the oc, how much warmth does it add, condensation??
i use a pad just fine a little bit of wiggling around n i find the sweet spot. i am planning on getting ab uq this winter
its way less for me i dont have an uq just mat and im glad to be free from those darn poles
my hennessy compresses nicely in my bag compared to my tent. the only thing i do miss is beinging able to...
oh if you can set it up a few times before you hit the trail. the suspension on the hennessy can be a little difficult at first and getting the tension just right will take a few times to master.
dude bring a pad just in case, my underside gets cold at 65 degrees. uq is best but expensive. a thermarest is perfect in my hennessy just let a little air out so it wont shift so much n your good to...
a bag i just bought that was cheap with alot of nice features is the kelty light year 20 degree. its a 3/4 zipper n makes a great top quilt, very warm n light weight down sleeping bag. i got mine for...
i use just a thermarest pad and a 20 degree bag n have stayed warm down into the 30s just fine. keep some warm clothes close to you n put some on if you get cold.
i use a thermarest and it works perfect for me but i would get an uq in the long run its worth it
i just hang it up in the backyard and rinse it down with the hose
i had the same thing with my ul backpacker. i pulled the suspension as tight as it would go and it doesn't bother me at all any more
i really just wanna get extra coverage on my elbows and knees, i side sleep and my elbows get cold
would it make the pad slip around more, i use my sleeping bag like an oq and sleep right on the mat
has any ony tried it before?
im thinkink it would kinda go under me and protect my arms and any other part hanging off the pad.
i love the slap straps, they do stretch a bit but it doesn't effect the comfort level
the set up time is way faster then my hennessy and adjusting is easy n hassle free(no tying knots)
i noiticed if i pull up a little bit above the entry my butt flattens it out but sleep half on my side so it doesnt really bother me. i do sleep better in my eno
i like that the entry slit hold the...
ya you will be hiking with everyone and there moms in aug, really its not that bad i was just up there this weekend

so any thoughts or suggestions would help alot, thanks
i looked and those wings would make me feel cluttered and i wouldn't fall asleep.
ill look but im saving up fot a jrb nest for my hh so ill hammoking funds are going there
thermarest should be fine for summer. i live in socal and summer nights stay close to 65 degrees
i wasnt uncomfortable with my thermarest at all, i slept on my side so it was enough coverage. i was the last one up at camp my buddies had to shake me which never happened in a tent
i was still...
thanks shug love your vids

i got down to the low 30s just fine, i did better then my friends in a tent who said they were cold all night. i used my sleeping bag like a quilt its only 3/4 zipper so it made a nice foot box and...

im also curious as to what temperatures other member have been in with just the pad n bag
im going on fishin trip this weekend in the high sierras, would just the pad n the bag be enough in my hennessy hammock
mmmmm i think im going to s cough up the extra money for the nest, the kaq is just to big and the nest looks like i could take it into colder weather ans still keep it light and small
as for the...
straping a full canister on the outside will pull away from my body throwing my center of gravity off, im pretty lightweight my food i s the heaviest thing i carry
whitch one is easier to get in out...
i dont have alot of room in my pack cuz of the bear canister but when i get my snak skins there will be a bit more room
i think the Potomac is lighter then the nest but its down so not as bulky
i...
