Got laid off last week so I've just been catching up chores around the place. After pruning the trees in the back yard, I decided it's a good time for a Shiner Bock and a little hang time.

Are these the little 1/4" jobbers that I use for my garden irrigation? If so, I have a few laying around.
I get them at Home Depot in the sprinkler section.

I'm getting the bug for bug-less camping myself. Broke out my hammock for opening weekend of bow season but am ready to do a trip now without hunting involved. I've found myself looking at new...
Thanks Shug, your videos have been a great resource..... And a heck of a lot of fine entertainment to boot.
I'll definitely have to experiment as this one is on the larger side. I have my tarp pitched pretty high in these photos because ventilation is a priority right now. We have a bear of a drought on in...
I can't even begin to fathom the climbing skills needed to hang that. I might have managed it when I was 12 but over 40? I see an ER visit in the future.
I just looked at their website and am back...
I came across this picture on Ultimate Hang's sight.
Who makes this monster?

Looks like a fun idea but I wonder...
I can't thank everyone here who has posted such useful information enough. I'm writing this post on my tablet while enjoying my Sunday morning coffee in my hammock out in the back yard.
With the...
Howdy Gang,
I got my Safari the other day and am enjoying it so far. One thing that has me perplexed though is the internal bungee cord that runs across the middle of the hammock. It has clips so...
I opened my mailbox today to find a nice package from Shane at Austinstrail.com . Inside was my new Safari Asym Zip.
Thanks to the great information I've gathered from all of the members...
I got my Safari Asym Zip in the mail today. Prior to first hang, I grabbed my pre-ordered Whoopie Slings and followed the video. I was done in 10 minutes and it was my first attempt. That was...
On 7/64 " material, I think I might try using a couple of archery kisser buttons. Seems like they would work like miniature kayak paddle drip rings....
Appreciate the heads up. From what I've found, there are a couple of ways that folks attach Whoopie Slings to HH hammocks. I think the biggest issue has to do with how I run my tarp afterward. I...
I want to thank everyone for their great input. I ordered a set of whoopies this evening. I figured I would try them out first since I already had some 8' sections of webbing in my camp gear and an...
Thanks for the info
OK Gang,
Another FNG here with a few questions about potential suspension systems. From what I've been reading, I've narrowed it down to either Whoopie Slings or Cinch Buckles. Both have parts...
Will do. Should be here early next week.
Awesome,. Thank you very much for checking this out for me. No matter how it goes, I really appreciate you taking time out to do it.
That would be great. I just sold an extra bow I had around so I have cash ready to go in my PP account.
It would be highly appreciated it you managed to find another at that price.
thanks,
Doc
I spent a good portion of my adult life as a Navy Amphibious Reconnaissance Corpsman. Doc is what the Marines start calling their Corpsman when they finally decide you are not going to cry, quit and...
I'm a pretty beefy burger boy and am thinking that a HH Safari Zip is probably a good pick for me.
Not planning on doing a lot of trekking with it. Most likely use on kayak / canoe paddling...
Howdy Gang,
Great to find this place. I'm starting back into camping/hiking after a 10 year hiatus. (After getting back from Iraq, I just lost interest in all things camping....go figure) I used...
