Love the picture..
Hate to be a kill joy here but.... Unless I was camping for a few days with continuous rain, Never had half the issues I am reading...
Yes of course they take on some weight but I was always...
172339. Here is a standard hg.
Yes.. Very versatile tarp.. Randy made great tarps..
172212. Sorry I ever sold mine..
Great pics!! Glad you got to get out together...
Great pattern, great tarp!!
That is pretty for sure!!
I remember when I first started lurking here, folks were using postage stamp size tarps, and surviving..
I truly understand the larger coverage thing, especially if you stay in one place for...
Check out the thunderfly go to ground tarp under weather protection..
Between doctors appointments, and basic life getting in the way that is the only time I have set it up so far.. Just a couple...
Yes, indeed.. Love the superfly... Have fun messin with different setup configurations... Congrats!!
Nope, no seam sealing needed.. :shades:
I rekon that is true as well, but Capehiker nailed it..
Good eye!!! Yes, I didn't want them... Brandon generously obliged..
Love this tarp..
Thanks yes it is.. just came today.. and yes a beer was in order, but that isn't what is missing..

What is missing from this picture?
Besides the hammock..

Just playin, had just enough daylight to do a quick
setup.. figured I would show something different..
Mine will be here today, to me that is all the fun, just trying everything and all configurations. It seems a lot of folks are tying them to the existing trees when in use. Maybe a taught line hitch...
Lookin good!! Mine hits the door step tomorrow.. Love these new tarps by Brandon..
Too funny... Being a proud owner of the camo version, I figured out a way to slide my newly ordered camo thunderfly smoothly into the collection..
Wife..where did you get that camo tarp? Me,...
Beauty of a tarp right there... Thanks for sharing..

Here is my camo version.. doors tied back..

Thanks for the input on the minifly..
However, there are many variables involved, especially when using a smaller tarp in such situations, simply setting up and staying in the house, imo doesn't...
You still are the master of reviews Shugman...
Everything I wanted to know.....Thanks much..
Minifly is a wonderful option.. Will have one for spring..
My best to your parents.. This old fella firmly believes the minifly is the best thing out there. Only a few dollars more than your limit.. save a little longer, wait for the next sale, watch shug...
Sorry, I didn't use a sleeve..
That is what I used, works fine.. used quick dry concrete..
Positive healing vibes sent... Glad you are going to be ok..
Mine is 64in. Love it..
I'm hoping to, at least for a overnighter.. Due to wife's injury, have not gone anywhere since june..
Probably just walk in a bit , setup and sleep the whole time..lol..
For my taste, I never push my temps that close, I use custom length uq, 64in. (phincubators) One is a 30, the other a zero.. Anything below high 30s, I use the zero.. I always can vent, if too...
Being cold, contracts the body, and the bladder.. Real testing must be done with your actual gear you would use.. Have someone check your setup when you are all tucked in, to see if you have gaps...
Good stuff Shugman.. It seems to me you have been sayin you are 57 for a few years now?....lol
Jordan is a very nice hike.. Fife lake is a loop hike also.. you could hit it on the way up from mrt..
If I had to choose favorites, 1. mrt, 2. jordan, 3. fife lake..
Is it a new purchase from Brandon? Send it back he will exchange it I am sure.. Call first..
A little playin around with a dutch pullout or two, and presto....Doors.. Limitless options.. Great tarp..
I did the whole loop yesterday, great workout.... It was crowded on the mrt side, saw about 50 people, yes 50...
That loop is always enjoyable...
I only hike weekends when I am desperate.. Which I am sure will be a few times this summer.....:D
Thanks for the pictures, been away, did not see these til now..
Great report sir.... Beautiful pics... Really hoping to make it up there this fall..
I agree on the weight thing.. Once we get our packs down to (light).. It becomes almost painful to keep cutting weight..
How many miles you are hiking plays a big part in this decision making.....
Don't really need the poles in porch mode for pullouts.. I rekon some would argue this....
I like your thinking... Less to carry, is a great mindset.....:shades:
Love the fletching!!
Well, Since you are doin diy, Modify it so you can use your poncho, or some double duty item to close an end off if needed.. Have fun..
Came today!! Rock on ...106488
106473 I have used my poles upside down many times in good wind without issues..
.. Good morning, and welcome.... Enjoy the journey..
Got an xl just to be safe.. I can always grow into it.....
