And how did you take pictures through binoculars????
Does that actually work?
That is awesome.
Have to try that.
Very cool.
Great ideas on the pole mods for the tarps.
Want one..........
Looks like it fits with the saddlebags.
Very cool.
How does the knot go into the poles with the closed end.
Not sure how it gets inserted and then expands to keep it in.
Awesome thread.
Learned a ton about my new home away from home.
Looking forward to trying it out.....
Very useful.
What is the advantage of removing the 4 inch extra part in the head bar?
Just less sholder room?
I am sure I am going to lose it at some point, so if can just shed it now, I...
So that is what that shock cord loop on the end is for. Gonna try it out tonight for the Superfull moon.....
Anybody tried the hiking pole tip set???
Always done my clothes, never thought about doing a hammock.
Gonna do this this weekend.
Absolutely hate ticks, especially ones you find 3 days after a trip.
Awesome.
Been to Sipsey a lot.
Tons of places to stay, some are kind of off the beaten path, but not too far off the trail.
Spent 2 days at the site up above fall creek falls.
Also seen those...
Went out there years ago, but with the inlaws and the kids and everything.
Really looking forward to going back to do more backcountry stuff.
Watch out for the animals. Moose can be bad. Bears...
Very cool.
I don't think the wife will sign off on that one.
But It may be worth a try........
Maybe if I let her grow tomatos underneath and I hang above????
Boooo,
I need 2 for my kids, but the closest one to me is ATL.
Not worth the trip, but going to get one next time I am over there.
Still love a pillow in a hammock.
Line to tie on to the ridge is key.
Got a down pillow from REI, weighs nothing.
Good info.
Thanks for the info.
I have seen this one a few times and thought it might be too good to be true.
Very cool.
Just got a ridge runner and going to play with all this this weekend.
You lost me at $180. Think I am going to play with the tripod, bipod, turtledog designs......
Very nice. Tried to make the tripod one once. I did not use a thick enough pole and almost got hurt. Please be careful....
Anybody have any ideas on how to rig the Ridgerunner spreader bars so they are all attached to each other>
I am worried about losing one on the trail. Especially the little part in the middle.
...
Very Cool. Thanks.
Has anyone actually purchased the bars from the web site.
Bump on this one. Just got my new ridgeruunner and interested in how the pole tips attach.
I have used with my HH. I used to put up the hammock and keep it from getting burn holes form the fire and wet if raining.
Pull out of the skins right before bed to minimize exposure.
But I like...
Agree, Skip the PVC. It will probably flex and break. Dont get hurt.
Awesome. Made something similar, but without the UQ. Think I am going to try this one out.
Very cool. Think I am going to raid my Dads shed for parts. Guess I have something to do tomorrow.
Probably too expensive if I have to go buy the parts.
Very cool, but $400 is too much. Gonna have to stick with the bridge hammock.

Same issue here, but had the same problems when I was a ground sleeper. Always end up tossing and turning, trying to keep the other side warm. A good pair of long johns helps......
As a stomach sleeper, I really want to try a bridge hammock.
Lay flat is the only way to go.
I have never really had a good nights sleep in a hammock, hope the lay flat solves that.
...
I don't get it, wouldn't the spreader bar bang against the back of your head.
Awesome dog under hammock.
What is the weight limit?
Did it take training/coaxing/food to get it in it the first time?
Cool, looking to get a WB RR. Leaning towards the woopies.
Cut old t-shirt into strips of cotton on the woopies, just as a backup. Weighs nothing, so whats the harm.
Still have not figured out a reliable way to keep the head hole from leaking......
How is it for stomach sleeping?
Taking off one pant leg is the only way to go.
Google some videos on you tube.
Seriously, it changed my life.
The strap is hilarious, I could see being strapped to a tree and having a bear walk...
Picked up an etowah outfitters silnylon 10x10 on sale last year.
Best tarp I have had.
Light, tough, good coverage.
I find that the cheap blue plastic needles are easier to work with then the metal ones.
They are a but stickier so they don't slide back when you are doing a long bury.
Saw one in person today.
It was huge......
How many people have this?
How cold has anyone hung in this?
Welcome from Bham.
Cheeha Hang is in a few weeks.
Should be fun.
Welcome from BHAM
A little worried about it a spark catching it on fire, but I still want some.
Really not avaliable till November?????
Sticks in a pinch (usually bc I forgot my toggles at home.
Still never have had an issue with thumb sized sticks.
Default toggles are a cut up steel shaft of an old sand wedge.
Light and work...
Used 7/64 and 1/4 amsteel exclusively for years without a problem.
And as an Engineer all those calculations have safety factors built in so all the rope can probably handle more than they...
Very Cool.
Nicer than my house, and quieter.....
Has the same problem with Arrows.
I use a cut up the steel shaft from and old Sand wedge.
Never had an issue.
Weight is transferred to the knot, not the toggle.
Because Duck Dynasty is the greatest show in the history of television.
Mostly due to the Camo.
+1 for Tyvek. Thanks fedex.....
Very cool.
Made a set of the surgical tubing tensioners that just disintegrated when I pulled them out of storage.
Can't believe I have not seen these before.
