Derizen, that's a really good point. That's why I really need to try one out with my wife before committing to anything.
I guess the four-point stands are not that much different from suspending...
I think the reason they're so expensive is because they're not popular at all. The only two 4-point stand models I could find are both discontinued.
I mean, why can't one just take two...
If you think $4k is expensive, that second 4-point hammock stand I linked to is like $20k :P
