Hey I see me!!
Nice catch... Me? knock the horns off and bring it to me :D
don't worry about the pullouts, they could cause gaps and make for a cold night. Get a good 30 deg hang and you'll have plenty of room in there without them
I can also attest James is a good dude
Keeping the steak alive... 18

I found a pic, he uses a descender ring lark's headed first and then a 2nd on the continuous loops to the hammock. He ran that for a year or so and says he is now swapping out the atlas straps and...
I changed out my son's and just lark head the continuous loops through the end channel works great and tightens up nice once you hang in it
at 23oz the greylock 4 isn't a bad option if you were trying not to spend the money on multiple quilts and wanted year round coverage and it won't take much of a gap to cool you off
at 17oz the...
I think it depends on the person and how cold or warm they sleep. I've found with JRB quilts I get about 10 - 15 degrees below their rating before I start getting cold so maybe 5 more degrees but I'm...
I have the greylock3 and I take that down to 15F with the old rag mtn as the tq, I've also followed Shug's lead and use my jacket around the footend and don't need the foot pad anymore with certain...
For me its more of putting the tarp away into the bishop bag, I tried just the bishop bag and it drove me crazy every time it was windy
I have both the Hennessy snake skins and the bath sponge. I haven't had any issues with things sticking to the bath sponge yet but I'm also not dragging it around on the ground. For hammocks I would...
I've been in some pretty heavy downpours and haven't had a problem with water getting past my becket hitch, could it be because I use mule tape?
You could always make one to your height

I tried my friends and I touched, I'm 6'5
Yep it sure does. It's the hellinox swivel chair weighs 3lbs
Here's a super easy way and cheap
I kept the bishop bag or other bag the tarp comes with and then I buy one of those bath sponges from anywhere for $3 and take off the rubber band and you've got...
Yea that wouldn't have worked, the foam pad needs the supershelter and the space blanket so its held against you, just like an underquilt there can't be any gaps
was it the radiant one? if it was the foam one with the SS you can add your spare clothes or jacket under it to boost it. but I'm guessing it was the radiant pad
17 for me

I've always been a sucker for a Hennessy Hammock and when I saw the Leaf I knew I had to have it even though I'm 5" over the max height for it. I worked out a deal with Hennessy and got one
They...

nice trip, congrats on your gear
I've been in the snow with my HH Hex and that comes down to camp selection to be effective in the winter snow or cold blowing rain or using a poncho or small tarp to block the wind from one end or...
16 months in a row, it's been pretty **** awesome
nice, happy new year
Glad it helped, I'm a tinkerer so I'm always bringing out tools / toys to play with test out, show so this pack is going to let me do that not to the same extent as the trekker but thats more than ok...
yes, the collar was empty when I'd push down but I don't really compress my quilts, this way they can form around stuff or take more room like they did in this case and you can see the collar in the...

I had planned out a birthday trek for myself but the weather had other plans for me but I ended up salvaging it into a pretty cool overnighter regardless and I got to see Star wars and the Rangers...
If you know you can handle a 3/4 UQ the greylock 4 is a great deal right now, otherwise the mount washington 4 is the way to go. When I switched from an MSS I used the MW4 year round because I...
