Man that stinks! Lowlifes everywhere just waiting on the chance to pounce on an oppurtunity

I was just about to pull the trigger on their website. happy Valentines Day to me!
I'll take it
I bought the second to try out last year. It had great coverage (good winter tarp) but was a little on the heavy side and didn't have the seems sealed. If you can wait, save up for a good tarp.
No pics but I think it's an awesome idea! Angled drive, 2 wraps and a couple of slippery half/hitch's and you should be in business. :D
Gets my vote too! One of my favorites
Hey Mike! Welcome to the forum from Smyrna.- Robby
I have stayed at the improved campground twice and wasn't as fond of it as I am the natural campsites upstream. People tend to trash the campground.
4hats this is a very nice hang. The entire river bottom is beautiful. It's a nice easy hike in too if you decide to bring the Mrs. :D
Beautiful!
I freakin' love the UQ! If I were you I would never part with that one. Love it that it's modular too. Add extra insulation when needed- i did the same. Yours is a work of art :D
Looks like a place only an ogre could love... and a deerfu! Nice pics! I love those swamps
Nice write up. I never knew this place existed
Marley and I took a little stroll on the AT today at Long Creek Falls just northeast of Springer. Some how she managed to spot the lone squirrel that decided to come out of his den (see pics). The...
Looks great to me! Those sqared off ends work just fine with the foot box on my BB.
Stuff sacks were awesome. I may replace that metal cord lock though
No way I could do it by hand. I have...
I took my extra jacket (for wearing), inverted the sleeves and sandwiched it between me and my full lenghth puffer jacket uq and slept fine in the 30's. This made my torso area 3 layers thick. When I...
I'm in if work allows
John how well does the insultex compress?
Well... keep at it! I sleep better in the hammock than I ever did on the bumpy ground. I won't compare it to my king size motionless water bed though
:D I can promise you I won't pass up another deal on one in the thrift stores either!
Definitely a learning curve with the machines. What kind of deal did you get on the material? I just located a hancock near me
No more cold feet! Those will pack a lot smaller than the rei brand!
When I removed the sleeves I just ran a quick seem around the edge to secure the down. Didn't take long with the machine.
The uq and hat were my first projects also- just got my 54 y/o thread injector last week. I have 2 different brands of the down booties already so I haven't given it much thought. It should be fairly...
