I have a WBBB, and it doesn't weigh 3.7lbs. It's more like 1lb 11oz (with the webbing & buckle suspension). I love mine and get a very flat lay. I also have the Superfly tarp which weighs in at...
I have both a 20 Incubator (over stuffed), so basically it's a 0 degree! Then I have the 40 Phoenix for late spring and early fall! The suspensions are the same on each. I love them both, as each...
I like the footbox in both my TQ and in my WBBB. The WBBB footbox helps provide a more flat lay. It is awesome.
I allowed my oldest daughter to borrow my WBBB & SF setup for Webelos Adventure...
The above link doesn't seem to work. Could you post the exact parts you used and the newer pics.
Thanks,
Welcome from Georgia. I was raised in Texas, and still have lots of relatives out there. maybe I can get out there some time for one of the hangs.
Lots and Lots of great info on HF.
Personally, because I backpack/hike, I stay away from ponchos. In an emergency, I can't get my pack off very quickly with a poncho covering the pack as well. I use Frogg Toggs Dri-Ducks Ultra-lite...
Welcome from Georgia. You'll love the WBBB, I know I do.
Congrats as well. I too use the WBBB and SF. I love it. I've added tarp pole mods from Dutch and they're great too. They really help open up the tarp without having extra guy lines.
Welcome from GA. We're not that far apart! AT is a great place to hang!
Welcome from GA! Lot's of great stuff huh! :boggle:
So my youngest son calls ( accidently) last night right around bed time and my wife has him on speaker phone, so right before he hangs up I announce that "tomorrow is National Hammock Day", to which...
Welcome from Georgia! I'm a back/side sleeper as well, and love my WBBB.
Mine is on order! Can't wait!
Love my Burrow 20, burnt orange outside, black inside. Matches my Phoenix 40 UQ.
Welcome, from Cumming, GA. You'll find tons of info and great help here. I have the WBBB with the SF tarp. I loved it so much I gave mine to my son to use at the Northern Tier Canoe Base while...
I wish. I ordered a double strut kit . PHEW! exchange rate SUCKS! :scared:
I may just have to set mine up and hang around outside after work, since I have to actually go to the office tomorrow grrrrr. Hopefully it won't be raining.
Wish I could make it, but I have a scouting event this weekend up at Camp Rainey Mountain in Clayton, GA. More advance notice would be great. Hope ya'll have fun!
You can't go wrong with the HG UQ/TQ. I have both a Incubator 20 overstuffed so it's like having a 0 degree( got used off the forum). I also have a Phoenix 40 for spring/fall, as well as a Burrow...
I also have the SF with tarp skins from mountain goat, they're awesome.
Welcome from Georgia.
You won't be disappointed with the Superfly! I love mine. I even got the tarp pole mods from Dutch recently, and love the way it opens it up, with less guy lines.
Welcome from Cumming, GA.
Got my new Phoenix 40 UQ and Burrow 20 TQ, just waiting to try them out. Now....debating on whether or not to order whoopie hook suspension from Dutch! CFO ( aka wife) let me order a Handy Hammock...
Welcome from the South, Cumming GA. Lots of great info & stuff here.
Ok, I sat here and made me some dog bones. I'll give them a try.

Thanks I'll give that a try...DUH! should have thought of it myself.... I guess I was looking for the "easy/lazy" way out!
Ok pictures of the tarp pole mods. My oldest daughter used my hammock at a Webelos Adventure Camp, and is now hooked on hammocking and says she'll never sleep in a tent again! LOL
I'll try and...
Whoop whoop! Got my email notification that both my Burrow 20 TQ and my Phoenix 40 UQ have shipped and should be here Friday!
Soooooooooooo excited.
I suppose I'm in too. Hope shipping isn't too bad!
Thanks,
My tarp pole mods are here! WHOOP WHOOP! Now, to give them a try. Ordered some mitten hooks as I believe I read they work great to use with these pole mods on my tarp. I already have pull outs, so...
Couple of pics of my hammock setup. Great time with the grandkids. Now they're begging me for a hammock as well :D .
Stick with it. I take mine when I go visit my son in NC, as he has no spare rooms and I don't want to sleep on the floor, so I hang my hammock outside. I did it the week of Christmas when my wife...
Ordered my second WWBB and SF on 6/1 and got it at the house on 6/23!
Had to get the second one, since I gave my original set to my youngest son who took it to Northern Tier Canoe Base in Ely,...
I'm anxiously awaiting a Burrow 20 as well that I ordered on June 19....then I had to order another Phoenix 40 UQ, as mine went off with my son who's working up at Northern Tier High Adventure Base. ...
Did you simply bolt the three pieces of PVC together? I'm considering going this route as well for portability. Do you have any close-ups of it completely set up with the ridge pole, etc?
Thanks,
I've been using a HG Incubator 20 deg (overstuffed) UQ and love it, with my 15 deg BA sleeping bag. I will be going to a top quilt, as I'm tired of the bottom of the bag wadding up and wrinkling...
My WBBB without the SF, and a pic with my new HG 20* overstuffed UQ.
I'm going to use it at my son's up in NC for the next couple of days.
Well, I am now the proud owner of a HG 20 degree (overstuffed) Incubator UQ. I know I'm going to love it.
I can hardly wait for it to get here! The hammock is going to NC and then to TX this year, so the UQ will be a welcome addition!
Ok, third night trying out stuff. A friend let me borrow his 0 degree Incubator UQ. OMG! Awesome! I was toasty warm last night -- got down in the 30's. Totally comfortable, I'm sold on UQ's.
...
I'll take it!
Second night, with pad inflated... I was warm ok, but not so comfortable. Despite the fact the pad goes in the sleeve of my sleeping bag, just couldn't get comfortable. Once inflated, you can't...
I tried out my new hammock last night in the yard. Got between 30-32 last night. I only partially inflated my BA pad, and so weight caused all the air to go to my legs, which stayed warm and my...
Well, I was very comfortable. My back got cold around 3am, as mother nature called. I hate that in the cold. My phone showed 32 degrees at 3am as I got up to go! Not sure if I'm using the BA...

59383It's here! Going to sleep in the yard tonight and give it a hang. Supposed to 29 degrees tonight. I'll see how my BA Q-core and bag work out.
My WBBB & SF just arrived! Yeah! My wife said I can't open the box until Christmas. I said, but i have to check it...I win!
Thanks, once it gets here, I'll try it out and see what works. My WBB is a DL, so I can try it with the pad slid in the sleeping bag sleeve or in between the hammock layers.
Thanks Shug. I've watched some of your videos already.
Now if only my hammock would arrive! :)
