The only thing I would say is be very aware of the loads on the middle spar.

There is a large compressive force end to end which could cause the poles...

Just in case, I screwed some self-drilling eyes into the posts, near the bottom. This means I can push tent pegs through the eyes to anchor it to the ground. I don't use limit string on my...

I would've thought you'd be fine using 550 to hang from......personally, I'd do a double loop just to make sure.....I mean, you never know when the dogs gonna try and join you!!!!

I bought the 2x2' s but the hinges I found in my garage, the support pole used to be part of my son's bunk bed and the eye bolts were found in my shed!!!

Amazingly, my tarp ridgeline is just about perfect to fit between the stands!!!

I just used a couple of small carabiners to attach to the hinges and its fairly taut......
