i just wanted to say thanks, this helped with my toggle questions :) now i know i need a bigger toggle!
im using a plastic toggle for mine. they are plastic tubes, not positive on the size, but they work great. after roughing up the outside a little bit with some sandpaper the slipping stopped! and it...
well fellows. im going to be doing a lot of experimenting with this set up this weekend, i will post some pictures and my results. im hoping this will work out fairly nicely.
im thinking that might work on a stand in here, im sure i could get one up. but im hoping it is possible to get two in here. does anyone have a double hammock stand made?

i made mine, from an arrow. and from what i can tell they seam to be a little stronger then what are sold as toggles. idk if im right or not but mine havent bent or broke yet, i sleep with them...
i took an old arrow, carbon fiber? and cut it into two 2 in sections, easy and lightweight. pretty strong too!
i personally like the ENO DN its just about the right size for a good nights sleep (to me) and for straps i went the whoppie way, and got some "tie downs" from lowes hardware for 10 bucks, they are...
oh pasta salad! with all the other food mentioned i am gonna get fat! haha. believe it or not, i am on a 4500 calorie diet right now, blah, working my way up to almost 6k calories a day. shew,...
wow, ive made outfits, wallets, hats, shoes, and a bunch of other stuff, but never a hammock... um. gives me an idea! lol now to the building to see if i have a bunch of extra duct tape hahahaha
i did this is a 10 by 10 room. using my whoopies, i was able to get a comfortable lay, i used the hammock calculator and placed my hooks about chest high, worked out great for me.
i too am doing this, and found out that hanging chain from the floor joists allows you to get the lower hang with less room, i have about 12 feet of space, and can hang that way, you hang the chain...
sounds a little confusing, but now im gonna look that up and see if i can get a picture of what your talking about.
well i dont have quite enough room for an actual stand. and that sinks! but the joists seam strong enough. but would i need to have something hung from them? or just hang that high? im confused on...

the loofa comes apart, no cutting needed, the 1 dollar ones at walmart are tied together with a string, untie it and ta da! i added some rope to the ends of it to make it tight when i take the tarp...

Thanks. It was warm. Outside was 34° and the hottest I got it inside my hammock termometer placed to my side not under me was 80° lol it was warm...
nice, i found that just an extra layer of duct tape at the grommets keeps them from ripping.
just in time too! just got a payment on my pay pal! guess that ones not going to make it to my bank! new hammocks coming soon for me!
well i got bored. so i decided to make a tarp. i wanted something that was clear for the top, (doesn't everyone wanna see the stars laying in the hammock?) well i went and bought a clear shower...

Not positive that this will work, first time uploading a video. but here goes.
last night i spent the night in the yard with my hammock. bout 26 degrees and very windy. i stayed really warm....
Just for a quick update, the wind stopped. I kinda wish it was still blowing tho. The temp is 26° and I'm toasty. :)
I will take some good pics. I love my sock I use it every day inside. And yes I will have a small down blanket just in case.
