I'll take the superfly.
Thanks for posing this question, I was looking for some TQ ideas for myself today as well.
Sold, thanks sir.
Sale pending funds transfer to dman
Thanks.
My apologies, this is right at 11ft hook to hook.
Just bought this on impulse along with some other items while I had the chance. It's awesome, packs down nearly to the size of a coke can. Unreal. Awesome as it is, I think a Superfly meets my needs...
Payment sent. Stay cool man, best of luck with the HVAC.
My mistake, meant the Cuben.
I'll take the tarp while I'm at it.
I'll take the blackbird and the incubator.
BAND CLAMP. Yes! Perfect.
I'm full timing it in my stand now and loving it. Only issue i'm having is every morning I wake up and the attachment points have creeped in slightly causing the ridge line to no longer be taut.
...
Yes, I have a deal with seller.
Will take it per agreement.
Pm sent, very interested.
Finally moved my hanging points closer to the ridge pole attachment points a few days ago. Almost now bowing now.
It was tough to get a pic of myself...utilized a nearby mirror!
...
Nope, I bought them. Got em in the mail a few days ago. Haven't tried them out yet but look exactly as pictures.
What about the whole hang-at-30-degrees-for-the-perfect-hang thing? I guess that is a non-issue when you have a structural ridge line?
Wiuth that said, since my ridgeline is 100" in my WBBB DL 1.7, do I technically only need a few extra inches, say 106" total, to hang from anchor points indoors?
Edit, clearly there is.
I used 24" of shock cord ONLY as my tarp tensioners on my superfly. They are tied directly to the loops on the tarp and then wrapped around the stakes to form self tightening loops as Brandon shows...
Very cool!
I'll take em if still for sale.
Been wanting to try these with my WBBB.
You can do without them. My poles fit pretty snug. Could tape them if you're really worried too.
I think I can convince my wife to let me do this! That's nice! :D
I've seen guys hang a second hammock underneath their primary one and slide everything into it, seems like a wonderful solution.
If you have the space, the surplus military antenna pole stand would work. That's what I use at home. Order them from the guy, along with some paracord for lashing, and two amsteel continuous loops,...
Been a little obsessed with knots as of late. Gonna check back here and learn some more!
Very happy with my WBBB DL 1.7, but at 6'4" it sound like this XLC may be even better!
Find the length and width of the bed (standard sizes listed here)
Use Pythagorean Theroem to calculate the distance between corners (hypotenuse)

I ordered 100ft of "guyline" from Warbonnet shipped with my hammock. Dyneema, I believe. It's thicker than the drawstring but it works great for the ridgeline(s).
For the tie outs I used this:
...
You're the man! Iv'e gotta try that. Amazon has got them for <$40 and I can get free 2 day shipping with prime. That should work perfectly for this trip.
In the meantime I'll save up for a long...
Any of you fine NC folks have an underquilt I could borrow for a hang next weekend? Didn't expect it to still be this cold and i'm caught a little unprepared. I can make a sleeping bag work, worst...
I'm supposed to leave on 5/15 for a motorcycle camping trip in Hampton, TN. I didn't realize how cool it was going to be, and I'm thinking I'll likely need an underquilt. Something rated for 40* or...
To confirm, this is what should be done?

Yes, this is what happens when you leave to take out the trash with 3 young adventerous women in the room with your stuff all set up. :scared:
I was shocked to see the tremendous amount of bow,...
I'm estimating around 420lbs here.

Thanks man. I think I will hold out for a "long" at this point.
I'm 6'4"...the KAQ site says it recommends the "long" for users over 6'. But, you say it's 78", which is 6'6", So it sounds like it may work after all? What are your thoughts on this? If it will work...
I need a UQ for next weekend, still got any?
I need an UQ for a trip next weekend. I'm in Charlotte, headed to Hampton, TN. Will this work with WBBB? Whats the length? I'm 6'4".
I've tested up to 375lbs and have experienced no issues.
If I can find a tarp and get comfortable hanging in time for this meet I may meet you guys!
Just stumbled across this. Can't make it out this year but may try next time!
I've tried researching to find an answer to your question.
I believe this is the article you're referring to on the 19 strand braid: ...
I am getting ready to buy my first tarp to compliment my WBBB. I try to make a habit of buying the right thing the first time, rather than cheaping out and buying something I regret later. With that...
Should work ... eye bolts in the joists, plus eye bolts in the ridge pole, some kind of suspension in between.
Not sure how it'd be any different than hanging from the joists themselves, though....
Thanks! Hung from my paracord loops for about an hour yesterday afternoon and didn't see anything that would cause concern. Not sure why I deemed it necessary to do it the way I did, but it works....
Yeah! She was like, "So I can hang off it? Like this?"
Then I said, "Well, it would appear so! Looks like it works! :D Do it again and I'll snap a photo!"
So glad to be able to hang indoors for...
Wife gave the setup a quick test...
