Has anyone used one of these in hammock or on the ground. If so, what are your thoughts? Seems like a great idea in theory but would like to hear real life experiences.
Thanks for the heads up but I do take full responsibility for falling on my arse :). I am considering going with 4x4's thru the center(posts and base). May be overkill but would def be stronger.

Review the dimensions again.....width dimensions are 2' 6" not 26". So the 10' is correct.

I think the best advice that can be given is to make your way to group hang nearby and look/try out a few options. The HF members are always willing to "talk shop" :) Even if you have to be a ground...

Army Surplus shops may have webbing. Also Harbor Freight carries some "Cam Straps" that you can use. The "cam" portion can be cut off with a hack saw pretty easily.
Most West Marine stores stock webbing.
