I use Dutch's tarp flyz and the continuous ridgeline setup illustrated by dejoha here. For me it is the quickest setup and allows me the easiest adjustability to center my tarp over the hammock.

I've found that scissors work best if you loop the line over one of the blades of the scissors and then pull to provide a lot of tension. Cuts easily then.
