anyone here using the heat shields from the hh website? how comfy are they, are they noisy? thanks
i just replaced the stock hh rope and put on good 1/8 ccs rope, grabbed a couple of knotbones, and hung the tarp. went up fast, great overall coverage.
i will take my stock hh tarp as a backup next...
i see with the hex tarp there are 2 longer lines to tie to the trees. does the tarp tie up tight enough with the 2 separate lines. i am use to a canoe camping tarp that has one ridge line. my hh...
anyone use this tarp? it cost around 70$, it's twice the size of the hh stock rain fly. like to hear your reviews, thanks.
made up a few of these this am using the same ccs 1/8th cord for my tarp ridgeline. so easy to make, wrap them 4x and they hold big time.
this morning i made the switch, it was a cake. i put my snakeskins back on, i am set for my may solo canoe trip. i will use a separate line for the tarp.
well, thanks to all who replied to my tie up post, and stu at whoopie.com, who answered every email i sent him, promptly. my new whoopies, tree huggers, and biners are on the way for a simpler...

ldutchboy, you got a photo of your setup? anyone else with rings and biner, thanks
thanks lymp, yes it is i. the straps that came with my hh are probably the real deal, as i have used it before on solo canoe trips, and they worked just fine.
i was looking at biners with the eno...
lets hear about your method, rings, biners, hh knot. i have a hh and i am looking for a simpler tie up method. thanks
who's using the hennessy knot, rings, or carabiners to hang with. seems the h. knot to me is simplest. not sure how to use a biner that would be faster. although i have seen a video on using two...
i have read that the eno straps stretch. the eno straps i am talking about came with our eno double nylon hammock. i have used caribiners on my hennessy with these eno's and they seem to hold well....
