Thanks. If I can't find one of the manufactured things I might try that. I don't know if I can make something durable enough to last for a 3 month hike. I thought the funnel would also make water...
Remember the funnel things, that Hennessey Hammocks used to sell that screw onto a water bottle and hang from the hammock fly tieouts to collect water?
Does anyone have 1 or 2 of these, in one of...

Will be starting a long section of the AT around April 1, 2012, following the birth of a grandchild mid-March. I'll start N of Smokies & hike until sometime in late June, because another grandchild...
I've noticed this shoulder squeeze thing mentioned frequently in the forums & have wondered what it is. I've slept in hammocks for years & haven't had shoulder problems. is it something position...
On top quilt width, it might depend on your sleep position. If you always back sleep narrower might be OK. I sleep on my side & in cold weather my topquilt has to wrap all the way around me & overlap...

Do I know any one else in this group?
Thanks, Jerry. Do you know about what time you'll be at the trailhead? What do you think is the best route to get there? Can you explain it without GPS? I think I know what that trailhead looks like,...
