Instead of using a pad in the warmer weather, try turning your uq over so that the baffles are compressed against the hammock. This trick works well with my 20* Incubator.

I am a fan of big tarps: let's you set up a "porch" for a place to hang out and move around a bit on rainy days. I have the JRB Cat and love it. Heavier than some, but very versatile.

I suspect you will be discovering the ultimate hammock setup a little sooner than the rest of us. Peace be with you.

Not familiar with your tarp, nor am I an expert, but I would think that wind and ground conditions should be factors. I have hung my JRB up high with little pitch in order to have an area to stand...

I no longer use my slap straps, but in their defense, I think the material is more durable than the non stretch variety.

I can tell you the results right now: I am saving up for one of Stormcrow's 3 season incubators!
