exactly what i meant. the more "sag" in your hang, the looser the ridgeline. it is only when i have the hammock too taught, and in turn the ridgeline too taught, that i tend to get that little "bump"...

without being able to see i tend to agree that maybe your ridgeline is too tight. perhaps try hanging with a little more sag.
i tend to find the "figure 4" very comfy, with my left leg bent...
