I had a Hennesy ul backpacker with the bottom entry that created some claustrophobia issues for me. I would get in and go to sleep fine but wake up in the night and feel trapped and panic. Now I have...
Both under quilts are sold to Nodust. Refund sent to Tom18C. Sorry for the confusion, I was trying to show that Tom18C had bought the yeti before anyone else posted but the post came in too fast and...
ok, I'm making a mess out of this sale. The rules say to post I'll take it and Tom18C didn't say that. Nodust did. Tom, I'm returning your funds and giving nodust the first dibs. If he changes his...
Yeti is sold pending payment
I have a warbonnet 3 season yeti for sale, the kind he used to make with the snap in reflective liner. I do not have a stuff sack for this underquilt. $130 shipped, conus...
More Arkansans, all right! Once you break down and buy an underquilt there can still a learning curve to getting it adjusted so it doesn't let in cold air but once you get it sorted out it's great....
I'll take the incubator
Everything is sold, we are done here. Thanks
Like was said before, there are a lot of great places west of HWY 9 or if you want to drive a little farther the Ozarks and Buffalo River area is not too far off. Are you looking more for primitive...
I've got a cloudburst and the space is luxurious, but more than you really need for a gathered end hammock, it's perfect for a bridge hammock. If I wanted a big tarp for a gathered end I would want a...
I'll take it
I've got a mr heater, I'll have to try it sometime. I tried it in a tent and didn't get condensation but it didn't really warm up the tent either, It had mesh walls and a fly over the top so the heat...
I've got a Ridgerunner double layer 1.1 bridge hammock with bug net and webbing/buckle suspension, Lynx torso length 3 season underquilt, and a Cloudburst tarp, I'll leave the mason line tie outs on...
I can get you a set at the walmart down the road from my house in trade for the Whoopies and straps.

Ouachita national forest?
I tried this on my tarp today, looks like a great solution. I tried rigging trekking poles over the tarp but wasn't completely satisfied with that. I was a little worried about how much the poles...
My dad recently bought an underquilt from her. He didn't hear much from her either but he did get a great underquilt. Wait, it'll come and you'll be happy with it.
I might be able to get away for a few days this summer or spring. I'll keep an eye on this, it'll help to get some dates and trip plans firmed up.
I agree with the idea of getting an underquilt first. You can use your sleeping bag like a top quilt. That said, eventually a top / underquilt combo is really nice. I also like the idea of the water...
I'd like seconds on the Molly Mac pack if mountainhanger changes his mind.
It was a good time, glad to have met everyone and see folks I've met before.
Cranraison Salsa
3 small packages of cranraison
1 red onion diced
pickle jalapeño diced to taste, I use 5-8 slices...
I'm in, thanks.
Those katabatic quilts are beautiful. Looking at them they seem to be puffier on the inside and tighter on the out, I would have thought they would have been the other way around due to the diff....
Did you end up using a differential cut for your top quilt? If so did you do it like you stated above? I'm waiting on materials to make my first quilt, I'm planning on using the same dimensions and...
My dad and I are coming to this, staying Thursday through Sunday.
The hammock has been SOLD, thanks
SOLD, Jacks R Better Bear Mt. Bridge Hammock Ultralight- like new.

My newest plan is to make pockets for the pole mod that I can clip onto the stake pullout points. I use a continuous ridgeline which I'll attach pruskit loops instead of sewing loops to the tarp for...
Have you given this a try yet? I'm thinking of the same thing, but maybe with two poles. I want it to work for a bridge hammock and I'm not sure one pole will do the job. My thought is to use the...
I'll take the cloudburst
Welcome from Arkansas. There's a lot of hammock information here, you can pretty much dork out on as much hammock related stuff as you can stand by searching through this forum. It's fun stuff.
I mean the spe I'll take it, stupid spell check
I'll take the spa
I think carabiners are more practical but the soft shackles are just kind of a fun. Plus if you've got the rope and you don't have the carabiners, one less thing you've got to buy.
Sounds like your moving to a beautiful part of the country, you'll be glad to have a hammock out there!
I don't know if those diagonal baffles have a functional use but they sure do look cool!
It looks great, I'm making plans to do a similar thing.
This was timely, I just got a new underquilt and had the same question.
If it's not needed that would be one less thing to mess with, sound good.
Not having tried this yet I maybe unnecessarily making it more complicated. I'm wondering about changing the fixed loop that is larks headed to the tarp to a constricting loop like the kind on the...
Welcome from AR.
Looks like I'll be taking apart the hammock suspension again. Folks keep coming up with new things for me to try.
Is there a thread on here that has plans for this stand? If so please post the link, it would be nice to have a cut list and so on rather than reinventing the wheel. I'm looking forward to building...
I've stayed warm in a hammock on a thermarest and 20 synthetic bag down into the lower twenties. I have noticed if the thermarest is too deflated it doesn't insulate as well. When it's cold I use it...
Thanks, I'm thinking I'll learn how to sew some pull out loops on my tarp for a more permanent solution. It does stretch the material even when it's only in place for a short time.
