Hang your own hang! If this is the best sleep you have had in 34 years, I wouldn't fight it. We all have different comfort levels and it sounds like you have just found your ultimate hang!

I am a 5'7" woman and I prefer the Warbonnet Ridgerunner mentioned above. I normally sleep on my back, but it is also very comfortable when I sleep on my side. I would highly recommend this...

Bridge for me. My WBRR is my favorite hammock. Second would the Blackbird. The WBRR is heavier, but it's also the most comfortable.

I love my 20 degree Burrow from Hammock gear with a sewn footbox. This thing is WARM! It is also extremely soft and comfortable.

For whatever reason, when my dog curls up next to me in my hammock, I can only stay awake for a few minutes. Then we just sleep like Rip Van Winkle until the sun comes up.

Very luxurious....but it won't fit in my backpack.

I also prefer the webbing with cinch buckles, but only because they are easier for me. They are not lighter. I have not had issues with the adjustment after hanging with whoopie slings.

Are you attaching your ridgeline near the gathered ends of your hammock? It sounds like you may be attaching it too far up on your hammock suspension.
