Totally agree. I have an Oldman Winter Tarp, I could sell it, but I won't. It is a perfect tarp. Nice and big, really light and so many set up options. Set it up with a bishop bag, some lash it and...

Hello,
I'm looking for 2 cinch buckles please. I live in England.
Thanks.
I can't really help with the first question but as long as there is tension, even small bit will do, between the two TH then they should not slip. (Mine didn't)
Thanks for that. I've just put my HH and OMW tarp into a 10l comp sack together. Now I get put them through the loops on my Osprey exos where the mat used to go. So now they are on the outside of the...
Hello,
I am doing an 8 day trip next week in the UK and it is insanely hot now and it is predicted to be the hottest june in 5 years. I have a winter UQ rated to -13C and a 3 season sleeping bag....
I have my OMW tarp in a 5l compression sack. I will be putting my UKHammocks winter full length quilt into a 10l stuff sack I have. I'd thought about putting my HH in a comp sack but I have enough...
I agree with the last post. I also pack my thing in the order I'll need them. Sleeping bag last, UQ, hammock, and tarp is hung first. That way they are where I expect them.
That seems a good point. My only thought is that if its just placed in the top of the pack then if i want to get stuff from underneath such as few clothes Ill have to take it out. Of course I could...
Hello,
I've just bought a 500gram fill quilt from UKhammocks and want to know what compression size it will fit into. It fits into a 10l stuff sack easily and I think I could get it in a 7-8 just...
I have attached loops of shock cord to my tie outs and when i wrap the guy lines up I just loop the shock cord over one end.
with 10l stuff sack and guy lines attached mine comes in at 775grams without ridge line.
I had this problem too. I've now got my tarp in the snakeskins and my hammock in a stuff sack I've made into a bishops bag. seems to work ok for me :)
Thanks.
It comes in a sack but it needs to be folded incredibly small and tight. Which is ok when you have a big area of dry ground to fold it properly but I couldn't/wouldn't want to, do that in...
Hello,
I've just bought an OMW and there is no chance I'm getting it back in that tiny stuffsack! I was thinking of getting a compression sack but I have a few question.
Will a comp sack be ok...
I got this from a friend the other day when I told him I was going for an 8 day trek. He said "are you sleeping in B&B's?" I was like "No I'm camping, in my hammock" His reply was "oh right...but...
I received my tarp 2 days ago and its great! Marty was really helpful too!
Thank you, what thread would you suggest?
I was worried about this too. I have heard about nylon thread. is this an actual real thing and if so is it a good thing to use?
My worry would be as has been said, it's a novelty that people would (when drunk) throw stuff at you etc. Also, they are pretty crowded so if you have friends in a tent, you may struggle to pitch...
+1 to Marty, really helpful. :)
WL has great communication. Replied within a day.
To add to the list UKHammocks was really helpful and quick to respond.
Imagine being in the bottom hammock, when the person at the top needs to go. It'd be like a waterfall!
I'd be up for a hang. :)
The rope weighs about 84 grams each so 168G for both sides
Hello,
I went to buy some dutch clips from JRB and the shipping to UK is more than the actual product! I can't see how something weighing 24grams costs $19 to ship.
Do anybody in the UK have...
I got some today from DD. Attached them earlier. Had to make an extra trip out as forgot Carabiners though. Oh well, all sorted for Saturday night's hang. :)
Touching the void is a great book. It is also one of the 25 World book night, books this week, ask around and you may be able get a free copy.
I have the Osprey 46 and I have to say it's a great pack. Nice weight reduction over my previous Karrimor Bobcat and 10x more features.
