thats basically the same thing as the undercover and underpad thats sold on the HH site
HH site says 10" for ridgeline
you can hang the hammock end to end (no rope span) its not comfy but if you can only find close-spaced trees that might be your only choice; anyways in a situation...
another thing is that i was planning to use it for stealth camping, but the UL Explorer requires a huge distance to hang it well, and it looks huge when its hung with the fly; i was surprised how...
i want to know if anyone over 6' here uses either the Expedition or the Ultralight Backpacker
i got an UL Explorer but i feel like i could fit in a Backpacker no problems after spending a few...
ok so i got the Explorer today and tested it out and its too big for me (surprisingly) so im going to try to exchange it for a Backpacker on here or just sell it and buy a Backpacker off ebay
but...
wtb undercover/underpad/overcover
Permanone = Permethrin?
i called my WM they said they didnt have anything called Permethrin
UltraLight Explorer + Snakeskins + TreeHuggers + Rain Funnels
ill try it out in a few days and report back
see if they're as good as people say
how do people mount them with carabiners?...
after long deliberations ive decided to go with Permethrin and no undercover for the sale of simplicity, cheapness and heat dissipation (80* nights)
thanks for your help
so just lay the hammock out on the floor and spray the whole bottom like with a spray can? or should i hang it up?
can someone recommend a brand of Permethrin? after scheming for hours i came to the conclusion that just spraying the bottom would be the easiest and more importantly cleanest (in terms of extra...
why not? i thought the fly was supposed to go into the snakeskins? if its dry that is
so #4 skins will fit the fly, hammock and undercover no pad?
would it attach at the head end as well?
its going to be stealth camping so comfort takes a back seat to stealthiness
plus its going to be in the wetlands...
its not the smell that would bother me, its the long-term health effects, and something that can kill other life so efficiently almost HAS to have health effects on humans..negative ones
im pretty...
anyone know if you can stuff a HH UL Explorer, UnderCover, UnderPad and Standard Fly all together into #4 snakeskins? im looking for a very compact and simple setup and after reflecting on it i dont...
3 questions
1: would having the undercover on without the pad work as an effective double-bottom to keep mosquitos from biting through the bottom?
2: if used with the undercover/underpad is it...
there's something about inhaling all night a chemical that can kill an ant in 30 seconds that i just dont like
anyone try to use HH snakeskins on an ENO w/ or w/o a Bugnet?
can someone who's been spraying the underside of their hammocks with DEET/Permethrine/etc. tell me how effective it is on mosquitos and if they have noticed any heath/comfort effects
thanks
PS:...
well i was impatient so i went out and did it
i put in 7" long loops of rope (old shoelaces to be exact) on the hammock ends and the carabiners on the other end; the tarp works perfect like this...
im really new to hammocking (3 days) and i went through a few hammocks before i stumbled onto the DoubleNest from Eagle's Nest Outfitters
i love this thing; im 6'4" and i can stretch out flat...
