i have one DIY speer type for backpacking and ill soon have a giant mayan hammock for my bedroom. id probably have one or two more if i wasnt a broke student all the time.

i use the 8x8 all the time and love it, never had a problem even in a florida thunderstorm
i did a diy speer and i find it just as comfortable if not more than the eno ive tried out. i also found the customer service from speer to be top notch.
i myself use an 8x8 and i find that i get adequate coverage even in rain and wind.

i just got a 30+ slumberjack from gander for about 80$ last week and i havent any complaints with two nights in it.
thanks, i think im going to go with the 108" in a single layer, that way two people (were 150lbs and less) can lounge comfortably on occasion. plus when i do take it camping ill be in hammock heaven....
does anybody have a guess on the weight limit on the 10mm silk fabric? id be making one for my house and theres going to be up to 275 lbs in it.
