I recently tried the mountainfitter 6" ti stakes in 35-40mph gusts. Wow really held out well. They are small enough to sneak into the rocky crevaces of the AT and long enough to maintain a good grip...

I just tested the 6" in 30-40mph winds... they work just fine on the rocky AT!
I tested out the mountainfitter.com ti stakes over the weekend in 40mph gusts. Really impressed with them so far. I use the 6" version.
