I'm moving states in a few days and would like to sell this before I leave. I am willing to negotiate on prices.
P.M. For details
My camera is being odd. A had a few pics but only this one will upload.
I don't know the model number but it fits up to 6'3". And I am a pretty big guy around d the waist and it fits me there too.
Standard size
The Clark is about a year old. I bought a dream hammock thunderbird 6 months back that served my needs more then the Clark.
Hi everybody, I have officially been ultra lighting for enough months now that im willing to part with my old gear. Unless otherwise noted all of this is slightly used with no damage. I will ship to...
I had the same issue with my first hammock. It is probably not rated for what your putting in it and is stretching too much. If a hammock is rated for your body weight correctly you just roll out...
The popular opinion on this site is going to be blackbird. Ive had both the Explorer and the blackbird and then I kept on going to Clark, eno, Kammock, and finally stopped on Dream hammock.
here...
The zippers area sticking point with the 250. It has to be in this perfect position, not to tight and not to loose. I never put a pad in mine but I think it would work. There is not a lot of room...
Webbing is pretty structural no matter where its from. You shouldent have to worry about the breaking strength as much as abrasion. The better your straps the less they frey in use so keep an eye out...
I have a dream hammock Thunderbird, with a top cover. I use it a lot even if the temperature is not very low. If im just hanging out in the backyard on a windy fall day reading a book, I zip up and...
i had a similar issue when i started hammock camping, i was 460 at the time. i ran the gambit, buying 6 hammocks in 3 years. I finally got a Dream Hammock "Thunderbird". its the most stupidly...
I think you mean to say top cover or "weather shield instead of top quilt. The fellows above mentioned what a top quilt is. As for the zippers i would suggest zippers on both sides even if you don't...
My rule of thumb is to pack for the unpack. I always try to make setting up camp as quick as possible. You never know what kind of conditions you will have to set up in so try and keep it as simple...
I usually wrap it up in my poncho if there is any chance of rain, otherwise it's just on the ground somewhere in reach.
So I woke up this morning in the middle of some kind of freezing rain hurrican and got my under quilt pretty well soaked. I was thinking about getting the 2qzq under protector but I can't decide on...
Good rule of thumb, if you sweat freezes on your face it's too cold to spend the night outside.
I've been having bad luck lately with work getting in the way of group hangs. I really hope to go to this one if only because I live in Creedmoore, which is about 5 mins away from fall lake.
Maybe a stupid question. But do you find any benefit to a underquilt when hanging inside.
Sorry if his has been asked before I didn't check all the pages before this. Is the government shutdown going to effect our location. I know national parks are closed, how about the state ones?
I agree with a lot lf others on this. All my stuff that people can see from the outside of my rig is some mind of earth tone. There nothing like sitting in your hammock and enjoying the view and...
i just got home myself, it was a easy 4 hour drive. I had a lot of fun.
Protip: ask more then one person where to find particular campsites or you might end up on the wrong side of a lake for the...
Dutch is a cottage merchant that is a member
This is His website http://www.outdoortrailgear.com/cottage-industries/dutchware/dutchware-view-all-products/
He sells a lot of stuff that makes life...
I also will see everyone tomorrow. But more because that's when the sun comes up. I got to the park after dark, walked to the campsite ( I think) and set up. All by myself this evening.
All wet sleeping bags are miserable, be they synthetic or not, but i like down for the comfort and the weight.
It might be psychosomatic, because it is so light, but im always amazed by how much...
ive got to work in the afternoon on Thursday but i hope to get out by 4ish. so traffic willing ill be there before dark on Thursday night.
This item is sold
I just threw standard whoopies in there. I'm a pretty heavy point load and haven't had any issue with it. Even setting up in the rain with wet lines has not caused any slipping.
Ive had my yeti on both the wbbb and my Clark 250. As far as fitting on other hammocks, I think it fits on my Clark better then on any as asemetric hammock. I've had the standard yeti down to 26...
Ok this warbonnet blackbird is back on the market.
Be aware I'm asking for shipping costs
And I require a PayPal payment.
Sorry this whole thing started, I posted this before going to work and didn't see any of this.
I'm chatting with DOS now.
Price drop to 150
Used WBBB formally had a small rip in the bug netting on the foot end. That has been repaired (2nd pic) but I had to pull the original whipping to get it on my thread injector so i re-whipped that...
The first time I got any real sleep in my hammock (and was truly sold on the idea) was after a 32 hour shift at work. I just slinged up in my Honda element because I was sure I wasn't good to drive....
Love it or hate it ( personally I love it, I'm a backer) you have to admit the nub'e shelter system has had a heck of a kickstarter run. Their goal was for 30,00 dollars and they got there in about...
Ha, if you can get in the engine room you have to have a lot of guns and a seal team. I worked on 3 ships and never even saw the engine room. I've seen that room they show on the tours with all the...
I worked for Carnival Cruise Lines for 36 months and was on the big blue for 34 of those months. If you get a cabin with a balcony then you will have no problem Slinging up. One side on the balcony...
I love Brunswick, I used to work at Maine State Music Theater. i didn't explore to much beyond the town area but i dont remember a camp area. Is it in one of the little islands?
I did a CRL on my first ever hang and then switched to separate lines. The set up just seems easier, and with two lines I don't have to worry about the tarp sliding around as I rig it.
Is that a purpose built destructor or are you using a jury rig?
I work in backstage theater and I've worked with guys that say that a lenth of aircraft cable braded back into itself to make a Sunday...
I live on a plateau and we get some pretty big storms rolling through. I have my rig set up in the woods behind my house almost all the time and the only time anything gets wet is when a big fog bank...
When I'm in porch mode my pole is upside down with the hadle in then ground and the tip in the plastic d ring.
I'm not really understanding where the "hat" goes in there.
Are you rigging you...
Ya they will work fine, I usually have enough slack in either my tarp line or my whoopies to rig up some impromptu drip lines.
I'm cheap, so its usually stealth camping for me.
Whoopies really are worth the money, they are the lightest thing your gonna find and they are really easy to use.
If you want to go with a daisy chain system I would suggest "python straps" from...
Plus they lost who knows how much money by not letting the mahha in this year
I have to loose more weight then I care to mention to hang in one of those. I'm envious, have fun with it.
Are there any Damascus steel knive stores around you. It seems like it is a prime market, if only for a good pun.
I'm a a bigger guy then you and have found that the weight rating on things usually have a good 20 percent actual rating over what is listed. However I talked with Brandon about this very thing a...
