A couple of us are riding our ADV motorcycles to MAHHA. Any riders approaching from the East (Lancaster PA to PGF) are welcome to join for the ride in on Friday. I am planning a gravel/dirt forest...
LRR- great stuff. I have missed several MAHHA's and backpack trips with 2Q due to too much work and not enough play time!
See you then.
Thanks jcvd01,
Let's see if any other MotoHammockCampers chime in. We can put together a nice gravel route that would be fun.
I am planning on riding my motorcycle down. Any other attendees interested in doing some ADV riding in the Michaux State Forest on Saturday? There are some routes on the ADV website I would like to...
I did this section several years ago. It is an easy section of the AT...you can really click away the miles if you are so inclined. I believe everywhere you are staying has a spring. The POGO...
Sounds like a great time was had by all.
I hated to miss it! Wow ---what a raffle!
This is really nice. I remember your earlier versions. Lots of nice features.
Thanks for the pictures. I am sure a good time was had by all.
Mahha friends,
I will not make it to this years Spring event. I will miss all of my MAHHA buddies. I look forward all the photos and shared stories here on the forum.
Have fun and be safe!

6'1" and the standard Incubator works great for me.
I have a 20 deg Incubator and a 40 deg Phoenix and both fit my WBBB great. Just get someone to lay in your hammock while you tweak suspension and you are good to go.
What keeps me happy and comfortable and I wouldn't want to camp with out it.
I would say TP and Gold Bond!!
Oh...hammock gear....I would have to go with the SuperFly tarp.
As this is...
Congrats Tim and Donna.
You guys inspire me!
I hope you have many more blessed years together!
Team HG- congratulations.
It makes me smile to see nice people that have been blessed.
The photos of your shop and posting your "crew"
are a real treat for the HF community.
I am buying HG...
Incubators are a great piece of Kit!
A buddy of mine has the 0 deg for the Mt Rogers hang.
I could not use the 0 deg unless it was COLD...that thing would
make me sweat! My 20 Deg Incubator...
On the AT during the busy season this would be frowned upon. If all @#$!# is
breaking loose outside and you need to hit the shelter it could be worked out with a positive spirit and approach. If...
I have a 20 deg Incubator and with my winter layers have slept into the mid teens in comfort. However- I am a hot sleeper.
YES- hammock camping is more expensive FOR ME.
This is what my wife/CFO says and I believe her, as she is rarely wrong.
On a serious note-a majority of hammocking gear is manufactured by a...
I have a 40 degree. Nicely made. I slept outside and it got down to 38 degrees and was sleeping soundly. I am a warm sleeper however.
I have yet to sleep out when it is warmer.
I think the 40 is a...
I have this same rig.
Have fun customizing it!
Welcome to the madness.....
The best tip I have learned is to get someone in the hammock and you adjust the quilt from the outside. The top of the quilt covers the top of your shoulders.
Just tweak tension to get air gaps...
Agree, a Superfly is a great one tarp quiver.
Yes, sometimes too big. BUT when it hits the fan all
that coverage helps out.
I have had mine in pouring rain, snow and small pellet
hail. All...
Greetings from Lancaster Co. PA.
I agree, plan to attend the Spring MAHHA @ Pine Grove Furnace. Check the
forums for dates and specifics- 2Q & Zq organize this. I believe there is already a...

Taking my daughter for college visits this weekend.
I will miss all the regulars and the first timers.
Be safe and have fun!
See you in the Spring MAHHA @ PGF.
I agree with Flounder.
Sleep out this fall and winter and find your comfort zone.
It is better to tweak your rig now and be confident versus
being on the trail and trying to retool. This applies...
Welcome to the madness!
See you on the trial.
WTB- PM me if you have summer quilts to sell.
I'll take it if the first offer falls through.
$150 is good to go.
Standing by!
Love that HammockGear.
I use this on all my backpacking and skiing gear that needs waterproof refreshing. So far it has performed well.
Donna!! You are too quick for me. I was thinking about this one and scrolled
down to see you snatch it up!
Enjoy- I hope they have fixed your street.
Just walked the LoyalSock Link Loop Trail a few weeks back with 2Q.
Really great trail. I did the 501 -> Port clinton section of the AT and the
rocks are tuff on the feet. Really made me...

Thanks for your contribution to our community.
Great example to live by. See a need, fill a need.
Very giving indeed.
Same setup here also.
Now let the tweaking begin!
Search here on HF for tie out suggestions, pole mods and UQ/TQ suggestions
to complete your system.
Yes, butt inside the larger baffles. The transition should be just below the butt.
For me this places the top just over my shoulders.
I replaced the S-biners with some Dutch thingies ( I forget...
I do not have a video, but I do own a 20 deg Incubator and BB.
Of all the posts concerning this subject, here are the items I found most valuable:

PrAyers and thoughts to Keith.
I always have my Incubator top edge just covering my shoulders. My head is insulated by my favorite trail pillow + headgear. For me this puts everything where it needs to be.
The 20 deg UQ is a...
I lost the battle with my wife and I had to move my Hammock stand off the back deck.:(
However, after a few nights in my new spot out in the yard, I am really liking it.
I have a great view of the...
Greetings from Lancaster County PA.
Now that I have returned to the real world, I find myself at the office water cooler discussing the events of the previous weekend with my coworkers.
They stare blankly at me when I tell them that I...
Pan & Donna,
Thanks for making excellent points on the spirit & focus of MAHHA .
I understand your positions and respect them.
I agree that we need to preserve our ability to get together and...
I think it would be great to have a time/place during MAHHA to buy, sell, trade or just give away items related to hammocking and backpacking. Everyone has kit that they don't use anymore and...
Greetings from an Erwin, Tn native now residing in PA.
You are in an excellent outdoors area.
Welcome to HF.
I am repeating the hike from last year-
