Whoohoo Count me in!!!!
I know I need some campfire spaghetti soooooo bad. But alas we have too many commitments that weekend to be able to make it with or without kids unless a miracle happens.
Man i really hate to miss another one but not sure I will be able to get to this one.
That is very cool!
Welcome from a fellow VA'er! Lots of great group hangs close by! Look forward to meeting you hopefully in the near future!
The Hammecks are some great folks. Always helpful at hangs! They have some outstanding products!
Sad they didn't get a true picture of hanging in there!
Hang your own hang...wear what you want. I haven't tried a kilt yet but I want to. And I put absolutely no faith in anyones opinion that has not hiked with one. You can't comment if you don't have...
I always set up just have it pulled back to one side. Weather folks are terrible guessers sometimes!
I got some of the wasp's from dutch and don't use a ridgeline at all and have been just fine.
Unmighty because in this world and I the opposite of mighty. Only the creator is mighty in this world. Keeps me humble.
The roads have been travelled home. The hot showers have been had. The bug checks have been done with a few found! I asked my daughter for her three favorite things about the hang they are as...

Whoohooooo! now to only shlep 1/2 a mile instead of two!
So we have to shlep the whole area that has that nice gravel path that could be used as parking ?
That looks pretty cool. Just a bit heavy and $$$!
looks like a great trip!
MAN I cant wait!!! I will be calling the owls when I get there tomorrow night!!
Nope I can't come till tomorrow we will eat on the way so I will do Dr Pepper chicken on Sat night. I couldn't get the day off. On a good note my daughter will be with me!
I will not get there till 7 or so. The joys of working!!! Going to get food items now wish I could hit the road now!
I usually put them through and then burn so they wont fray.
I am sorry someone did not tell you that the mosquitos in SC are relentless. Good idea on the bug net! If you are south of the mason dixion line have a bug net!
Maybe make an extension on the tripod part itself so you could hang a tarp. That way you could do two sections of 5'11" for a total of almost 12 feet. Hanging a 12' hammock will still be a bit tight....
yeah that looks a little sketch!
Just for clarification that was not me you are talking about.
I just figure 8 around my thumb and pinky make a loop with one end and cinch works like a charm!
I have used both quilts from each vendor. I own a UGQ. That is not to say I wouldn't buy a HG one. I just needed mine super quick and UGQ could make it happen. Either one you choose you cannot go...
I wish i had a million dollars so I could come see Germany! My brother has had work there on several occasions and I get so jealous of the beautiful pictures he sends back!! One day one day!
You will love love love your thunderbird. I have had one for a while now and look forward to anytime I get to hang in it!
Very nice enjoy it!
I have snake skins and looooovvveeee them!! Also I switched to Dutch wasps with zingit and I have to say I don't think hanging a tarp could get any easier or more pleasant!
Congrats now to just get out there and hang hang hang. You will learn so much and your system will get better with time!
I think in the past month I have placed three orders or more. I must resist, I must resist. My refletex pad is fine! AHHHHHHH!
Metal yard stick works well. I always have two bobbins of the same thread ready!
same here only photos!
I would say that they would be very beneficial especially since you are thru hike. You never know what weather will bring and when you have the option to baton the hatches it gives such great peace...
I got one and can't wait till it gets here!
You can't go wrong with a UGQ quilt!
I second the AcuRite!
looks very nice!
I have a 10x10 pop up I will bring.
OOH I love when you are testing stuff! Those stands have me drooling!
To me it is more about the space it offers. It does work quite well even in porch mode. I use it because I hang with my daughter so it leaves a good bit of room so we can hang side by side under the...
Oooo me me me I wanna come!!
Corey I am bringing my daughter and she is ten
