Actually, I'm a female, and am still "hanging" in there! Since then, I've done things with my hammock that are stupider than my first hang. I didn't post them because although Okies are tough, I...

Visiting Charleston is on my bucket list....welcome.
Howdy from Soonerland!
I really like the looks of this, I've been suffering from sciatica(not from my hammock), and have been studying bridge plans from 2-3 members here. Thanks to you members for figuring out the math,...

A big welcome to our new English friend!
Welcome from Soonerland, sounds like you're already hooked!
Good pics, good work, and, yep you are going to have to get the thread injector back!
Ok, I just had to google it......shoulder season, the time between high and low peak travel seasons, usually the spring and fall, lower fares, etc. No one is travelling to SW Oklahoma, 3 days ago 108...
Great work! Thanks for the pics.
Welcome from sw Oklahoma, proud home of Ft. Sill, if you are in the Army. I can't wait to see pics of your hammock in active duty. My gratitude and prayers go with you.
Welcome from Oklahoma. My niece lives near Rochester, and I want to visit her, she really likes it. You'll enjoy this group of people.

Let's review, lump on head, bloodied nose, almost knocked out, and the good news is no damage to stand? Yep, you're a hammocker!

Well I'll be danged, I stand corrected......uses for the paracord.
Your post and diagram shows that you have been thinking about hammocks, that's good. Your concerns:
#1 paracord - don't do it (from my experience)
#2 end channels of hammock- you are almost there...
Great pic! Here in Oklahoma, the ground was shaking, I thought it was an earthquake, but it was you doing your happy dance.....enjoy!
Nice thread injecting! Thanks for sharing.
[QUOTE=MacEntyre;317245]...oops!

Yep, 3's a charm. Glad that you don't give up easy. By the way, Oklahoma got the rain 2 days ago, after 105 temps, cooled off for one day, then today was hot and humid. So, expect to be hot in a...
Welcome from Oklahoma! You're in good company here.
Welcome to the madness. Looking forward to your progress.
Pictures, pictures, pictures!

I'm not so patiently waiting for your trip report. You guys are a hoot!
Reading last entry in Red Hat's journal, both she and Snow White are in Andover, Maine. On target to finish thru hike of AT. God bless them both.
Come sleep in my backyard. I'm having trouble with the neighbor's kids.
Pm sent for them.
Welcome from tumbleweed and red dirt country! You'll be addicted in no time.
Looks good, and I like how you made the middle pocket wider so it will hold a wider paperback than shown.
I missed the Kyle's Landing hang, but hope someone sets one up for Fall. Welcome, you'll learn a lot, and make some friends along the way.
Welcome from Oklahoma. From what I've read in their posts, you'll need a sense of humor if you hang with the Europeon guys!
My sewing machine...er....thread injector does not like the outdoor thread. It loops up the bobbin. I buy guttermans from Joanns, I think the extra strong polyester. Recently I ordered some(thread)...
A big welcome from Okilahoma.
Welcome from the flat side of Oklahoma. Did you mention Pine trees? What are those?
Yes, enjoy!
Welcome, Michael. You'll find the info that you need here. I'm sorry about your back. Certainly you're a brave person by taking the scouts camping!
I think it will hold you. I made a camo diy yesterday, and did the end channel with 3 rows of stiching. I used webbing to thread thru, and I left the loop about six to eight inches wide. I like the...
Welcome, and we all start out as newbies, not "dumb" when it comes to hammocking, let's just say "uneducated".
Swampfox, what a way to start my day, good first cup of coffee, and sharing "good times" with some scouts! Thanks for the report and wonderful pics. I'm putting Brevard on my "bucket list".
Wonderful work, and pics. I actually like the yellow. Welcome, and you fit right in this hammocking family.
:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:
Great trip report! Old Gringo and the rest of us Okies held down the fort here in 105+ temps while you were gone. I think for our pain and suffering, you owe us a guided trip for a hang:laugh:
Welcome from a little south on Hwy 81. You'll learn a lot here.
Now, I want one!
