Absolutely, I'm 6'1" 225. I mocked this up on my brother who is 5'9 185 and it fit him as well. Hope this helps.

Murmur is SOLD, thanks guys!
GG Virga SOLD, GG Murmur still available
Price drop to $65 shipped each, thanks!
Hi Wolf, out of the two packs I think the Murmur would be ideal. Weight is around 8 oz and I think the size would be better for your boy. From the top of the shoulder straps to the bottom of the...
Thanks for confirming that bud. Makes sense that it's Spinn, I was just driving down the road with it in the passenger seat with the windows down and it almost sailed out lol
Thanks for the input folks, just checked the Virga and it's a regular. A little more research pretty much confirms the GG is a Murmur as well.
Cheers!
Hi, it's been years since I purchased them and can't seem to find tags on either, but I believe them both to be Large. I'm 6'2 and they fit very well. Hope this helps, thanks.
Just listed one in the for sale section if interested
Hi, I'm offering up two great lightweight packs. First up is a Granite Gear Virga. This pack was only used on a handful of trips but has been sitting in the garage for a couple of years. Asking...

Up for grabs is a mint Kick *** Quilts Jarbidge 3 season Apex used only once, $110 shipped

Gettin' diagonal like a pro!
First I'd disconnect the right side, that extra tension is potentially causing the quilt to favor that side. If adjustments don't work out, in a pinch I've run shock cord right over the ridgeline to...
Now THAT is a back yard!
I've thought about attaching the whoopies direct to save weight and an additional attachment point, but I'm concerned about not having a break of some sort to manage drips.
It only takes one hang on the larks head and it locks down very tightly, doesn't budge.
I'm thinking I'll lash the outside edge of the hammock tight and the inside loose. That way it'll have a firm back rest for lounging and a relaxed front for easy entry and exit.
That looks heavenly!
My uninsulated static v worked great. Only issue I had was a 40 degree drop in temperature that deflated the pad. By the time I realized it, I was almost too cold to function properly. Learned to...
If weight isn't an issue, you may want to consider wool
That satisfies my curiosity, I knew there could be more to it than randomly bunching up the fabric. Some experimentation is in order, thanks!
You did your research bud, good job!
The knotty mod gathers the loose fabric on the sides of the head and foot ends creating adjustable pockets with cinch cords.
For me it's all about flexibility, why lug it when I don't need it. I also find cinch cord egress easier than zippers.
Yeah, I can see how the knotty mod or cat cuts could accomplish much of the same thing
Thanks for the link, it helped to both answer my question AND encourage me to leave well enough alone haha
Do you larks head the continuous loop on or attach the ends to the suspension? I've seen people change from one method to another to change the lay.
Seems like a pretty relevant topic
I'm curious how different methods of gathering ends affect lay. I've seen a few posts about people changing from one method to another to improve comfort. So continuous loops, whipping, biners,...
Sounds like you've got everything pretty well covered. IMO the UQ will be the most important variable, be sure to dial it in at home and expect some fiddling out on the trail. Have fun!
Gotcha, looks very tidy
