i put on 1" poly tow straps that are 12' long so it will fit just about anywhere now.
...im just a bit gunshy thats all!

my stock rope system went down...with me in it!:scared:
the rope wich runs through the sewed up channel on my grand trunk is the rope that snapped ..i thought these were supposed to hold...

i mix the two as i love doing outdoor survival type "stuff".
sometimes i practice my bow drill techniques, traps and snares, ropework ,go fishing, etc.

as i know paracord stretches like mad , so i can tighten it up real well,and should i secure it to the ground with it as well, or should i use some sort of shock cord?

i have the web straps from tie downs for truck loads...is this the right choice??
...i was thinking even simpler yet, by just wraping the web strap twice around the tree and then just use an overhand knot with 2 half hitches back to back...thassit.
or will this not work????

yup, i was very low!
i just now adjusted mt straps around tree at shoulder height and that brought my hammock straight across my bellybutton for lowest point of sag, and all is golden now,,,thanks!

i see now that i have a swen hem that bunches up with a cord and that is tied on to an s type hook.

this may be way to obvious....but what about just stringing up the tarp on a slight angle down, so everything drips that way?
