I used garden stakes...
They are plastic coated aluminum tube. They work really well and are pretty light weight.. It gives me enough space to sit up in the hammock without the net touching me......

I have the 1.9 dlb and I absolutely love it.
I am 5' 9" 185lb and the 1.9 gives me the most comfortable lay over any hammock I have or had.
