Clearing out some items. I have a Bakepacker, pot and pot cozy. You can see what the Bakepacker is here www.bakepacker.com. I used this a lot while backpacking with my Boy Scout Troop. I will sell...
I ordered on May 1, Hammock and Tarp, emailed him a few minutes ago for an update. Hopefully I will get it before my AT hike next week, but I know his gear is worth the wait. If it doesn't come in I...
I ordered the WWBB double 1.7 with the Mamajamba Tarp on May 1, still waiting but not to worried yet. Will be heading out in about 2 weeks to do a section hike of the AT hope its here by then.
Here are three pictures of Mule Tape Failure, my husband was sound asleep and hit the ground this past Saturday, yes, I know its not the mule tape that failed but the sewing securing it . Not sure...
Nice set up, be sure to send new photos when you get the new ones. I am still trying to convence my 16 year old Eagle Scout to convert to hammocks. It's starting to get to him, he slept in a HH at...
I have been using mule tape for over a year now and do not notice any damage to the trees I have hung from. I wrap around several times. It doesn't roll up either.
Looks good, I am still looking for ideas on an UQ. Thanks for the pics.
Welcome to the Hammock Forum from Eastern NC. You'll love the Clark but its just the beginning. This becomes addicting as you will soon see.
Don't know about using it for an UQ but it makes great coozies for freezer bag cooking. My husband and I made a whole bunch of them for our Boy Scout Troop with this stuff.
This is great, I am always struggling with the tie outs and cords on the tarp. Now its back to the store for more no see um. I'll have a set of these by the end of the weekend.
Thanks for all the kind comments.
Wow, I wish I had seen that. I did the research for the vacuum method awhile back and just didn't stop and look again. The eductor looks like it causes less mess. I will try that when I do an uq. I...
Yes, Lonely Raven that's how it was done. There is a thread about it somewhere. You can use a scale to weigh the tube and then weigh it again with the tube full of down. The tube I was using took me...
I found the receipt for the Rainbow, it came with a 20 year trade in certificate for 375.00The Receipt is dated January 8, 1986. I couldn't believe it was that old either. Which dates me a little too.
It should say BAG.
The fill was listed on the outside of the bad as 900.

The quilt measures approximately 77 x 56. Warm and Toasty, should be a nice winter tq.
So, I decided to attempt this since I do know how to use the thread injector. This is from $1.50 yard material from Wally World and No see um netting from a local Great Outdoor Provision store and...
Ok, I admit I am pretty dumb. The videos were right there. I was just kind of worried about taking off that cover and not knowing what was under it. HH have a strange end but: I have got one side...
I recently acquired a HH Expedition A-sym zip. It is one the scouts used at the National Jamboree. Got it at an excellent price and new before it arrived I would want to change out the lines for...
Thanks, the last time I looked they didn't have enough, so I just ordered.
I am looking for the same stuff, but in the US. Does anyone know who has it in stock?
Tina, you forgot to mention the "chiggers" or red bugs, they were worse than the ticks.
When I was looking for an ultra light sleeping bag I was so against a mummy bag because I felt to tight in them and had panic spells before I could get out. After searching the net and found out...
Switched to whoopie slings I made, very fun to do.
Hi Stranger,
I switched out to the amsteel whoopie slings with biners. Lighter, fun to make and easy to use.
I just switched out the black line with whoopie slings I made from instructions from another post (great instructions). They were fun to make, I used the 1/8 amsteel from West Marine. I could not...
Thank You Longbow for all the time you spent on the review and the pictures. I believe I may have been the first on this forum to recieve and comment about the extra velcro that came on my Clark. I...
The Weathersheild cannot be completely removed on the NA, but I would guess on the tropical since its an add on, the sheild can be removed when not needed.
Here are some pictures of the end caps tina made. This is on my NA, I have the xl fly also and I don't seem to be having any issues with it but, I am still new at this hanging, and sure beats being...
Great choice, my only thoughts would be why not spend a few dollars more and get the tropical so that if one day you want the weather sheild you have given yourself more options.
Here are my pic's of my son and I in the hammocks. I don't have any sag on the I beam nor are the posts pulling in. I guess having enough shims in does the trick. I really don't intend on having...
I experienced the same pull and while I was lying in the hammock we just added more cedar shims. I changed hammocks from the Speer back to the Clark with the tarps and still had no more problems...
ok thank you, I still need to figure out how to do that.
I said my gallary, but the pic's are in my album and I am trying to figure out to change or fix it but if you can get to my album that is where you will find the pictures.
Ok, got the stand put together and it was diffently unstable feeling. So we added shims to the back, front and sides. The stand works great with the two hammocks I have. I tried the Speer with Speer...
As a Scout Leader myself I took the recommendations of some other leaders here in my area. I never even knew about this forum. I went with Clark and am very satisfied. Just spent a week at Summer...
I think I understand, I will be using a tarp some of the time so I will see how it goes and may try your suggestion. My daughter just called and asked what I was doing and she is on her way over to...
Attroll,
Not picturing what you're saying. Can you provide a picture?
Again Thank You Rev, and with the anticipation of my kit arriving today (which it did) I stopped at the Home depot to get the 4x4's.2 8's and 2 6'. I got the salesman to help me pick out two of the...
I ordered on July 20 with an eta of July 24. I guess I got in just in time!:D
Thanks for the video and tips. I just ordered the kit. I can't beleive they are selling this for such a great price. My husband keeps asking where in our treeless yard would I like for him to...
After speaking with some Scout friends and TinaLouise I orderd the Clark NA. I only knew of two types at the time. Then found this forum, WOW. If I had read all this before I bought I think I...
Thanks for the responses; I have seen that video before. I pretty much do it like you've mentioned but I thought I would post the questions just to see if there is some other "magical way" to get it...
I know this may be a little late on a reply but I recently aquired a Speer with a Cat Tarp. I like it much more than I thought I would. At first the velcro idea was just throwing me off but after...
I too, am patiently waiting for the answer to the extra velco on the NA, I keep going to their site to see if they have done an update. I also wander how much weight that extra velcro added that...
Hi Ya'll,
Haven't posted in a while. Been busy with Scout Camp and work. I just came back from a week of Summer Camp and used my Clark all week. Wow what a better way to spend a week at camp....
OK scooterdogma, we know you have aquired a Clark NA, but you have not told us how your first hang was or what are you waiting for, get out and hang it up and let us know how it goes.
