Thanks for sharing, If I keep seeing these smaller packs swallowing up gear I just might have to get one.
Thanks for the video, I really enjoyed the music at the end, I usually listen to stuff like Slayer, but I was really entranced by what you guys were playing, so thanks for turning me onto something...
That was a good looking sandwich. Nice looking sunset , my favorite times of the day in the woods , dusk and dawn.
I always cut 3 dead sticks and lash them together at the top to make a tripod, then hang my pack by the haul loop from the tripod . I can move it where I want it this way .
Cool video.
Man I`m with you on that " moving about " thing I`ve been doing it for years,
O G . Great video , Doesn`t leave much room for people to insist that quilts and straps are to much to mess with.
I guess they don`t sell Big Agnes sleeping bags in his neck of the woods . Interesting how he responded to most of the posts except for references on this . You hammockers seem to have him riled up...
Is this his place of business or residence ? I only ask because this address is about 5 minutes away from me .
I have the NR as well , I find that shockcord ran through the sides works well for me as well.
Cool video , I really dig the wall bouncing, I don`t juggle but watching that I decided I want to do that wall bouncing . It looks like it would be good for training the mind as well as reflexes....
I like to put a rock on top of my stakes too just for added piece of mind, finding a rock in PA is never an issue though and the top is always angled away. Another lesson i learned is to never bring...
You could use the search function and possibly consider the Garlinton Taco, doesn`t seem to get mentioned much with all the quilts now out there but it seems like it would be a cheap quick easy fix.
"Awesome" video thanks for posting. I really like the look of the woods there, I spent some time at Camp Robinson in Arkansas and always thought how similar the woods were to PA woods.
Welcome, very interesting introduction. I don`t know if you have ever seen these or not but I recently recieved a NSD Powerball that I am using to help hold at bay any problems with my shoulders and...
Welcome , there must be a tax break or something to be a hanger in PA.
I am totally offended and I even think this thread is merely a shameless attempt to draw attention to your videos:lol:
I think its great that you guys post videos, thats the first thing i...
Try living with 2. I find in the winter time if I pull the hammock out of the sack the static charge pulls every bit of dog hair in the house right to the hammock. Instant insulated hammock.
Another welcome for you from SE PA as well.

Ear hairs , nose hairs, heck even grey nose hairs, I remember how proud I was when my girl found some grey back hairs in the summer, now I like to tell people I`m a silverback. I don`t know about you...
Sounds like a good time, its always more of an adventure when there are extremes of some sort.
I started out with 2 and thought the fiddling in the middle was a complete pain, so I made one long one tapered on both ends and it works much better.
Cool video , thanks for sharing.
Welcome, PA must have some really good hammock marketing or something, lots of us popping up.
Oh heck yeah.
Great name congrats all around.
Another one at you from Havertown.
The Salamander
The Broiler
Unless I am wrong though. the DD product is more akin to a snakeskin not a sock.
when you checkout you can choose USA
No problem, I`m a little jealous though I thought I had something :)
I`m glad I read through all of the posts, I think Stormhaven has a certain sound to it.
For what its worth I just purchased the standard New River, I used it 2 weeks ago on the Hamburg section of the AT. The night time lows were predicted to be around 29. I didn`t feel like taking the...
I would only be doing to give me the additional lashing and molle points.
Hey Rat
I know your looking to shave weight, but I was wondering if you had tried out attaching another panel to the back panel to sandwich the stuff sacks , Attaching in such a...
I was thinking you would use the mav instead of the front panel. Keep the harness on it but attach some buckles to it that would attach to the same attachment points as your current front panel...

Put some quick connect buckles on this so when the pack is you can share the load with the packs suspension.
If your stays are made out of flat stock my thoughts were that you would copy the design of a door hinge to a limited extent. Roll the ends of the stays where the connection would be made. Use...
What do you think of the idea of having separate stays in the belt and the back panel ? The stays being designed in such a way that you would quick connect them some how. You would probably need to...
What do you want to do after lunch ?:shades:
I think the reason you are seeing the condensation and ice and so forth is . You are creating zones. You have your indoor air inside the hammock and you have your outside air. You are generating...
Easily one of the most impressive things I have seen on this forum if not the most. I can see why you would want to build it like a tank the first time, probably not a project you would want to tackle...
Just keep some pineapple slices and mustard in your hammock , that should scare away any pig.
Well thats interesting .
Everybody knows that drunken Amishmen are out driving their hotrod camaros.
Hate to tell you but there are no feral pigs in PA.
From left to right, Lost River, New River, Owyhee . They will stuff down further than you see. I can squeeze them down to about half of what you see here. Somebody else would have to chime in on...
Just thought I would post up a quick mini review. I set the hammocks up on the back deck last night , New River and the Owyhee for the Blackbird. For the ENO, the Lost River and a woobie (poncho...
Better than the all you can eat breakfast buffet at Cabela`s ?
Great photos. Looks like a good place to go.
Thanks, the photos are actually fairly accurate on how they look, at least in my basement.
Yeah I was thinking digi cam but I`m glad I went this route.
They do fit really nice. Almost like...
Really sorry to hear this , well wishes sent your way.
