Maybe it was like Chinese water torture, and he endured it all night before he finally cracked.:)

Flangler,
Your package is on the way.

Shug is a very bad influence.
We have 4 Hennessey hammocks in our house, and for some strange reason after watching Shug's videos I find myself spending more time than I should looking at the War...
Rimmini,
PM me your address and I'll send you a couple of toggles. :-)
-Mitch
My PIF item is a pair of toggles.
They are titanium, 5/8" dia. tubing, 3.5" long, wall thickness 0.044".
PM me your mailing address and I'll mail them to you in a flat rate envelope.
-Mitch
I really like it....dig the campsite.
-Mitch
One good way is to anchor the foot ends of both hammocks to the same tree, then anchor the head end to two closely spaced trees. This way both hammocks are oriented in a close v-shape, both should be...
I made some titanium ones from 5/8" tubing, the first batch I made were 2 1/2" long which is long enough.
I also made some more that are 3 1/2" which is more than enough for what they need to do....
Payment sent,
I'll be able to set up both of my kids' Hennessey Scouts under it. Might not be the best idea, since they'll be close enough to argue. ;-)
Thanks Dweller.

Hi,
I'll take it.
PM inbound.
-Mitch
Very well done.
Thanks,
Mitch
I am also interested.
Resistance is futile. ;-)
-Mitch
Thanks BigBamaGuy,
I'll send them right out. have a great weekend.
-Mitch
Thanks Bradley,
I use the same name on a few different forums.
For some strange reason my kids suggested that name.;)

I made some titanium toggles.
They are 5/8" diameter, 2 1/2" long, with a wall thickness on .040 inch.
Does anyone have a pair of amsteel whoopie slings they would be interested in trading? I...
The zoo is going to have their hands full as soon as that bear starts demanding mods and whoopie slings.
-Mitch
The Hennessey Scouts are a good option.
I bought one for my son last year, he was 7 at that time, he loved camping in it. Just make sure you set it up very close to your hammock.
I just bought...
Does anybody know where to get a Baker style tent that's made from Sil Nylon?
Campmor used to make one years ago from nylon, Frost River makes one, but it's made from cotton canvas.
Thanks,...
I'm looking at the Big Mamajamba also. I want something with side pulls, now the dilema is doors or no doors.
-Mitch
It was a very cool show. I loved the part where they tested the amsteel to failure.
Pretty loud bang!
-Mitch
Thanks Te Wa,
I'm checking out you site right now. ;-) That's good to know.

I love my McHale!
I bought it in 1998 and love it. It's one of his bayonette designs, so it can break down and compress to handle various sized loads. It's original appeal at the time was it's...
Thanks for the feedback guys,
It helps as I enter the confusing world of UQ's. ;-)

Go figure,
Right after I post I find more information.
Baffled synthetic underquilt: Wilderness Logics, 3/4, $95.
3/4 Down fluffiness. ;-)
Te Wa, The Breeze, 3/4, $135
I guess I’m following the normal progression for hammock camping.
I’ve been digging through all of the Under Quilt posts but I’m still unsure on what I want to do.
I have four Hennessey hammocks...
What is it about this site that make a new guy start thinking about under quilts, balck birds, big mamajama's, a fan of shug videos, and whoopie slings?
Who would have though that a simple hammock...
Thanks Guys,
It's easy to get lost in all of these threads. ;-)
Plenty of good modification information here.
-Mitch
I first considered hammock camping after reading about them on the watertribe site. Canoe and Sea Kayak camping really got me into it.

Hi,
I bought a Hennessey Explorer Ultralight for myself and a Scout for my son last year. We've really like the versatility that camping with hammocks offers.
My wife and daughter just went...
