Very interesting idea. Can't see any reason why it would not work. Might not be the most packable system but very functional. Depending on your hammock I would think it would need to be larger...

I sewed all 3 layers together and I did add a few quilt loops. Don't think I needed them but thought it couldn't hurt.
Can't say for sure how well it compresses I just stuff it into the bottom of...
+1
Tried Whoppies and still went back the the WB stock. It may not be the lightest but it is so easy to adjust.
Yeah I should have done this a long time ago huh?
The quilt has preformed quite well so far. I only used a single layer of Apex and I feel that 35 is my comfort limit with it. I could go a...
Well assuming nothing changes with my work schedule I should be working both the possible dates. Oh well maybe next time. :D
I'm interested but it will totally depend on my work schedule. Hike in or drive in I'm alright with either.
I'll take them. PM on the way.
Knotty mod? :D
Welcome to HF from another mass hanger. Looks like a new member of NEHHA.:D
It seems that Randy at Dream Hammock uses 2.56oz Polyester Crinkle Taffeta and he rates it at a 300 pound weight limit does this sound about right for this material as well?
Has anyone tried to...
HA. Welcome to the new addiction. Looks good.
+1 on both of these. When I lay in my WBBB I'm only a couple of inches away from the bug net and not too far from the head end. Also I like the foot end higher then the head otherwise I tend to...
You both got my vote. Good luck!!!
I think a Bic lighter would fit just fine but you would have to take it out before removing the Emberlit. The tabs on the Emberlit will get caught on the seam if you leave it in there because it...
It was a great time. Don't have any pictures to share. Can't wait for the next one.
Another option maybe

EDIT: Paul replied while I was typing.
I held mine up end to end and I don't really see much difference between the 2 ends. I did not pull out the ruler but it was >1". I think this variance is...
Although I'm not sure if it is actually allowed by the rules people do at times post deals they find in the for sale forum.
It would be nice if there was a sub section in the for sale forum for...
Maybe try milking the constrictor (pinch the finger trap and slide my fingers down to pre-tighten it) after adjusting the sling. I'm a pretty big guy and have not had Whoopie Slings slip on me...
Wow now there is an image I wont soon forget.
Next year? Man that's a long time away.
Chocolatier's drinking chocolate was amazing. Never going to look at the powered mix the same...
Really? That sucks guys.
That's a good point. That's what I was told it got to. Didn't see it for myself. I was hoping someone had checked.
I was a little chilly at first and I had a 35 deg crows nest. But that is...
Did it really get down to 27f last night?
+1 That was a great time. Glad to have met you all. :)
I can take some better ones if you would like.
Those were taken with my cell phone on my stove and room heater in some pretty poor light.

Thank you for the tip.
I replaced the plunger last year and oiled the whole thing up at the time. Have not had a chance to test fire it though. You think I should just add a couple of more...
Thanks guys.
Also I have a small propane 2 burner stove, a small charcoal grill, an old 3 burner Coleman fuel stove (don't know if it works) among some little backpacking stoves I'll be bringing...
What time can people start showing up on Friday?
That is one hell of a stand. Love it great work.
That is just too cool. Great job Mac.
I you still have it I will take it. Pm incoming.
Looking at that it reminds me of a dream catcher. A really big dream catcher.
Neat keep us posted on your progress. This looks like a fun project.
I love the cottage vendors here at HF.
A couple of weeks ago I contacted 2QZQ about making a pouch for the new El-Mini. I already had one for the full sized Emberlit. We chatted a little bit...
Is this what you really do with your hammock time? Lol.
That's mostly true. From what I have read you cannot use wire or rope to attach things to the trees in a CT state park. I suppose one could argue the point that we use tree straps but I'm betting...
Now that's a great idea. I was trying to work out how to deal with the suspension hanging out.
Cant say anything about a PeaPod but there is quite a bit of room left over with my kit packed away in it. There is a list of whats in there a couple of posts up. It comes in 2 sizes and I have the...
oldgringo just made a good post about the size. I have not tried it out yet. But I figure it will add a little bulk to the setup but very little weight. The benefit I see is that it will hopefully...
Those pics might have to be in my kitchen. Don't know when I'll get it hung outside yet. Plan on getting it on the BB tonight and see how my quilts fit, they are both a little bulky being...
Just got my new Lazy Slug Tube and the workmanship is awesome. Can't wait to get my Blackbird wrapped up in this thing.
There was a small issue with my order. A single 2-pack of #0 S biners was...
This is a very interesting thread. I wont pretend to understand all the math used but the principals involved are coming through loud and clear.
I have to wonder if the source of this is less...
Welcome Anna. Always glad to see anotherGood luck with your business.
There is a ton of great information here enough to have a major overload. But I'm sure if you look around you will get...
I wonder the same thing. Maybe it has something to do with the cost of the FDA or EPA approval? Not really sure who would regulate pesticide use for our clothing...
Love the new site. Keep up all the great work.
If the credit card you want to use is already attached to a PayPal account they wont let you use it without logging in. You can use any card you have that is not attached.
Did anyone mention a...
Just do what I did in high school put it into a soda bottle. :D
I have a friend who might be able to come for 1 night who is not a member would that be alright?
This is what I did when I added tieouts to last years white 12x12. Using that guide I just found the center of 2 opposing sides and sewed them on.
