Star Trek and Harry Potter. You're such a nerd! ;)
The thread title caught my eye. Very amusing.
We've already got three full vehicles going down, we'll be arranging the transportation shortly. I'll be sure to mention your offer to our other...
You'd skin your own polar bear! Dude, they're like family!
Dan.
Brilliant as always buddy.
Though a trailer this epic really needs to be in 1080p. :P
Dan.
Lol, WV, we've all been there (though my experience was fully clothed).
Love my HH Deep Jungle XL, definitely a bomb proof hammock and very comfortable due to its size. I know I might get boo'd...

Hi all,
Yes they have changed the way that they gather the ends. I'm not sure whether the two 'whipping' methods co-exist, but I'm not a huge fan of the new sewn through method.
My original...
I see you snuck the furnace in the background... looking good buddy.
Dan.:)
I usually make mine out of dynaglide, but it is some serious overkill. Its a great general purpose line that I can make whoopies for a hammock, or STLs for my tarp out of.
Wow Mongrel,
Does that qualify as a gear closet, or more of a gear annex? lol.
Good to see everyone getting out.
Dan.
1 Large in black.
1 Large in Sagestone.
(can provide US shipping address) :)
Hey Buddy,
Are you going to DIY in Cuban? or are you going to call up Hammock Gear about their new Camo Cuban?
Just Curious, I need more fabric like I need a hole in the head...
Dan. :D
Hi All,
Despite great fun at last years event, I am not able to attend this one.
Have fun, think warm thoughts.
Dan.
The first piece arrives before Christmas ;) lol.
Have a good one buddy.
That's sweet buddy,
I'm holding your 600' of Dynaglide hostage until I get an invite ;-)
Dan. :D
Hmm,
You have my attention Chard. I'm going to have to see what else is kicking in February, but I am attempting to make arrangements.
Dan. :)

Welcome from Brantford, ON
If this keeps up, our little group hangs are going to require a bigger venue!
Dan.
:D
Hi Happy Camper,
I was talking to 2Q about alternate locations for Spring MAHHA, he might have some ideas. I think he mentioned Rickett's Glen.
If its equally close/closer to the border than...
Some of my best memories of Ottawa were with crazy Quebecois, though I have to admit that most are with the girls ;-)
Dan. :D
(Insert Photoshop T-word swear jar here)

Cannibal. That is all. :D
Either or is close enough for me. I'm in, but I'll have to check the date.
Dan. :)
If you're interested in being able to swap the suspension out, I'd recommend making a pair of long chain links (fixed loops), you can thread then through in the same manner as the whoopies, though...
Welcome from Brantford, ON
Great to see another Ontario hanger.
Dan. :)
She's a beauty. I love my 12 footer.
Dan. :)
Touche, and so I shall bow to the math.
The approach is valid, but as you said technically impossible. The line will bend.
Dan.
Great Trip, Great Post, Great way to spend a weekend.
Dan. :)
Welcome,
Good to have you along.
Dan. :)
Hi All,
I may have to pick my new Canoe up in South River. This will mean that I would miss any meetup at the Timmies in Huntsville. I'll know for sure tomorrow. Either way I'm going to try to...
Hi Kasuko,
Definitely better to hand in the report early and be at the launch for 8:00-9:00 am Friday morning. If your paddling with Cedar, I don't think he's going to want to wait at the launch...
Wow chard that's quite the flotilla. I hope you know a few big sites in little trout that will accommodate our landing party. If not we can always snag two close together and paddle/walk back and...
ok, so I should be booking an extra site following our group size. Give me the nod Chard and I'll make the call. I just want to make sure nobody else goes ahead and books.
Dan. :)
Hi Chard,
I can book a second site if necessary. I've got the Friday off, unless zombies invade the office or some other localized madness strikes. Let me know if you'd like me to grab another...
I'm in as per earlier commentary, I am still on vacation and have yet to confirm the Friday with the bosses, don't see any issues.
I'm cool for a group breakfast but will likely be handling the...
3 season plus gear for chard means shorts and a wool sweater, LOL. Sounds like a good route, I'll talk to the old man when I get home. :D
Hey Chard, back in the house for a few days. Have we locked up a route? My Dad and one of his good friends are seriously considering the trip if the portages aren't too long. I just bought a new boat...
I'm definitely in. Just let me wangle the Friday off, which shouldn't be to hard. Man i'm not going to work much of September. lol :D
It'll be good to see some of the same faces, and some of the...
I have one, but as a bridge user you'll have to pry my 12' Hard rock out of my cold dead hands.
Good luck on the hunt, and a bump to the top.
Dan. :D
p.s. love your double hammocks, they are...
Yup, a bodkin is a bluntish needle with a big eye for pulling "stuff" through a channel.
:)
Is this a sil tarp? or polyester?
zing it is likely too small for lineloc 3s. I believe the "3" designation means they work best with 3mm line. Zing it is 1.75 or 2.2...
Dan. :)
...off the shelves. bazinga. :D
The link that you posted says its 175 lb limit, and is listed as accessory cord. I would be seriously leery about hanging a hammock using it. Tarps fine, guy lines great, but HYOH. I catch flak from...
From experience the ENO "Guardian" Bug Net is a beast. Its a little heavy and very bulky. The trade-off: there is tons of room inside it.
HYOH, but I like my integrated nets.
Dan. :)
Love my Deep Jungle XL, but agree that it is a might heavy. It is my go to gathered end...
Dan. :)
No need for the crossed fingers, you're in professional hands with Adam.
Top notch gear, great customer service. Highly recommended.
Dan. :)
