I don't know any sources but you could contact DIY Gear Supply and ask him when he's getting some more.

I finally upgraded. I bought an old Necchi off of Ebay. I took me a little bit of work to get her running again. USPS really did a number on her. They broke the female plug at the end of the pedal....
Here's a good long list.

I hope that helps.
I just finished my IX UQ today. It was a fun project. Thank you so much for the write up. I can't wait to try it out. :D
I mountain bike a lot. In fact I like to bike to my hang location a lot. Sometimes I like using the standard bicycle water bottles that snap into the holders on the frame. I have a Walmart brand...
Alright. I got my materials from BWDD yesterday for this project and another. I was surprised with how easy these were to make and how much better they are than my old ones. :boggle: The weigh so...
Well. I just placed my order with BWDD yesterday. I tossed around several UQ options and finally decided on this one due to economy and efficiency. I live in MS so the winters here don't usually get...
Welcome to HF from Ole Miss!
These are awesome! Thank you so much!
Thank for this instruction. I have a set made out of surgical tubing and they work great but they are way too bulky for me. I will be doing this very soon.
I may have to give this one a try. I have one of the cheaper Walmart sleeping bags. I know they aren't great but it typically doesn't below freezing here in MS all that often. A nice down filled UQ...
Welcome to HF from Ole Miss! I hope you have a much better experience this time.
Welcome to HF from Ole Miss!
I used to do a lot of float trips in SW Missouri. I wish I would have been into hammocks then. Welcome to HF!
Awesome! Well I'm glad I'm not the only one. I was just a little nervous about risking my hammock's life with something I wasn't sure about.
The small eyelet should actually be attached to the hammock. The big loop is what adjusts around the knot of the marlin spike. Here's a couple of videos showing how to attach the slings to your...
I have no idea what they weigh. I don't have a scale but I know the finished product is awful insignificant in the weight department.
I just got my new Whoopie Sling suspension in the other day and decided I wanted to use the Marlin Spike system so I needed some toggles. I went to Walmart to see if they had any aluminum arrows and...
Here's another picture of the orange spider for you guys. It's not quite as sharp but the spider's color is amazing.
Thanks guys! I've been looking for that beaver for a while now. I've seen his sign there for years now but have never seen him until recently. I couldn't believe my eyes when he walked right up to my...
I haven't done a whole lot out there but I have camped at Wall Doxie and I like it. I was in a tent back when I camped there. It wasn't a very good campground for tents because it has so many...
Thanks! No just one was. The rest were hanging in trees but yes. God bless them bug nets.
Lol! I will. If you ever head this direction just give me a shout. And here we say GO TO HELL LSU!

I just spent a night at one of the lakes near Ole Miss. It was a pretty good night. The temperature dropped to a comfortable 46*. I had a beaver walk right up to my feet, woke to some amazing colors,...
This leads me to believe she is not a HF member.
Awesome! So I guess that means I'm a real hanger. The only problem is I didn't get pictures of me watching all of Shug's videos so I guess I never did.
I completely agree.
Here's my thread injector. As you can tell I don't really get much done. It is pretty maintenance free though.
Man I wished I would have set my stuff up for tonight. It would have been a great test night. We got some really heavy rain. I would have loved to see how my setup did. Oh well.
Thanks Bigbamaguy! I have sewed before but it's been forever so I'm sure I'm a little rusty. I'm gonna watch Rev's video series. That should help quite a bit. I already learned about thread tension....
Thanks Ramblinrev! I'm actually doing that right now. I saw your link in your signature line while I was on Bradley's "Bobbin Blow Out" thread.
Thanks Sky! I've looked around on Ebay and Craigslist some but haven't found anything quite yet. I also have my grandmother looking for me. She sewed for a living for like 15 years or so so I figured...
I think somebody should make a t shirt that says something like, "Hammocking. Turning tough men into seamstresses daily" or something like that. I love it though. I never thought I would have ever...
I just saw your signature line. Do you like Toby Mac?
Cool. I was just curious because I have 6mm of wetsuits hanging in my closest. Thanks for the replies! I might just get one of those JRB Torso Pads.
Definitely watch Shug's videos. Go! Do it now! There's 10 of them and you will enjoy them. I promise.
This is what our mascot should have been:

Thanks guys! I think I will probably end up getting the 6' huggers and the 8' slings. We'll see what kind of money I make this weekend delivering pizza.
I'm interested in getting the "All In One" system but I see there are several different length configurations. Do any of you have a preferred length and why? Did any of you buy a certain length and...
Thanks big lazy! I see you're pretty close. Maybe we'll run into each other someday. There are actually several good spots on campus to hang. I have one of the camo Claytor JH setups too so I would...
I can agree with the heaviness but I'm not really a backpacker so weight isn't always an issue for me. I wouldn't mind doing some kind of a test though to figure out how it would stack up to other...
Has anybody ever used closed cell neoprene (wetsuit material) as sleeping pads before? Here's a link to a company who sells the stuff from 1/16" all the way up to 2" thick.
...
Haha! This was awesome.
Boo State! JK. I'm not really a football fan but I do like to go to a game here or there. GO BLACK BEARS! Oops! I mean Rebels. Anyway, thanks for the welcome!
We also have Rowan Oak....
Hello Pappabear! I just got done watching Shug's videos. They're pretty awesome and informative. I also ran across some of his other videos of him performing on stage and picking with some other...
I just ordered a couple. I thought about getting a third to get free shipping but I don't need 3.
Haha! Oh man. It's been a mess here. That's for sure. May be that's why I got the hammock. So I could get away from all that.
Hello to everyone!
I am a student at Ole Miss majoring in Biology. I've always been an outdoor kind of person. I feel more comfortable and at home when I'm outside especially on a cold dreary...
