I was wondering if anybody had used this product or knows anything about it? It might be nice for pulling off the road, head under some trees, and catch a quick nap.

Down here in south Florida we say it like Al Pacino in Scarface. "Say Hello to My Little Tarp".
A+ on Olddog's spoon I don't hike without it now.
I put my pack in a trash bag under my Hammock. Everything except my food goes under the tarp. Most of the time it rains in Florida.
Hey FLRider I've been looking for a thermometer like that. Do you Remember where you got it? ----Larry----
Great trip report! I love camping at Bahia Honda, but these days you have to make a reservation about a year in advance.
I was wondering has anybody camped with their Hammock in Payne's Prairie FL. My hiking group is planing on doing this ranger lead hike, in February and I'm not looking forward to bringing a tent. Any...
Glad to see the list up already and looking forward to staying longer than one day this time.
I know it's still pretty warm out but has anybody tried to hang, or is planing to, over at Jonathan Dickinson State Park in Martin county? I've been steering clear of doing any hikes there because of...
Wow what a great time and what a beautiful spot. Thanks Dave and Olddog for making this a memorable trip. Like the Mountain Man Breakfast I think everyone added a little bit of personality to this...
I've got it covered for Sunday morning with peppers and onions.
Ok barring any last minute emergency I'm in. I'm not sure I'll be able to make the Saturday mm breakfast as I will be rolling in sometime that morning. I will be there for the Sunday breakfast. Can...
It's a nice tarp I'm very happy with mine. Lots of room under it.
It looks like I may be free that weekend and I would like to get back up to Lake Arbuckle. I will try to schedule this in.
I would just like to thank all of you that contributed and made this jamboree possible. You did a great job and couldn't have selected a better place than Buck Lake.
I didn't see it posted. What day will the raffle be held?
Wow looks like a you guys had a fun Hike. I would have loved to have attended but I was on a work hike on the FTA in Big Cypress this weekend. I met David a couple of weeks ago at a meeting of the...
No sorry I meant the area just north of Big Cypress south of lake Okeechobee.
Cannibal did you have a problem finding a good hang spot north of the Indian reservation on the levees?
Try Febreze it really does work. I give my hammock a spraying every few trips.
I don't know if anybody has mentioned this yet or thought about putting together a petition that could be passed around at the hang to get the state to reconsider its position on hanging stuff from...

I hope your home owners association doesn't bust your chops about hanging there. Nice tarp though.
Camp Girl you are welcome to come to a meeting of the Happy Hoofers the Broward county chapter of the Florida trail group. We are having our first meeting of the season this Thursday 7:30 sharp at...
I ordered mine on Monday and received it yesterday (Wednesday). Very fast turn around time and in a week full of hassles this was certainly a bright spot.
Buck lake seems like a pretty central location. Count me in.
Hi Ed you may want to check but I don't think you can Hammock hang in Myakka state park.
I looked at the hammock gear tarp and doors really aren't something I was looking for. It's a nice light Tarp and I'm sure if I was hiking up north the doors would come in handy but down in Florida I...
To be honest I did strongly consider the OES Deluxe and if I was able to get it in SpinnUL I would have jumped on it. I could see from other postings and pictures of their tarps that OES sells a high...
After agonizing for months over which tarp to get for my new BlackBird hammock I think I finally found a good fit with the Big Daddy tarp from Wilderness Logic. My reasoning was as follows: Of course...
Hammock---- one of the main reasons I went with a hammock was an experience during a heavy rain storm. Out of 14 hikers the only one to stay dry was the woman in the hammock. Laying in a tent in a...
I just added myself to the spreadsheet. Make that 31 from Florida.
I think it's a great idea. I do a lot of driving and listen to many podcasts.

Wow great job very informative! I got stung in the neck last year during a work hike. I feel your pain.
I've been hanging from palm trees for over 8 years with no problems. Like any trees you just have to make sure that they a wide enough. I once saw a guy hang his hammock from a pine sapling and it...
Hi I just got an email from CampMor and they are running a sale on sleeping bags. Some as low as $20.00. I wouldn't mind cutting one up at that price. Sew the cut ends. Slap some shock cord on it and...
Starting in Oct. I will be hiking and Hanging in and around the Big Cypress area. My group will have at least one 30 mile hike that will include portions of the Fisheating Creek area. We also have a...
Back about 9 years ago while on a camping trip in Big Cypress FL we got hit with a real barn burner of a storm that lasted about 10 hours. Horizontal rain and everything that FL has to offer. Well...
