I'll take it
looks great. glad you had a good time.
that looks great!
I'd suggest looking into the location of the carabiner on the tree as it relates to the tag end of the strap. This thread:...
sunset means there are new posts in that forum since your last visit.
I'll take it.
very interested as well. we'll be in Estes on Saturday and Sunday.
Dutch did a vid about the proper use of a dutch clip:
https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/129708-The-proper-use-of-a-Dutch-Clip-video
The dutch clips work okay on a bridge...
I don't see a link to the video.
I didn't see it on a quick scan of the website yet either.
thanks!
The Trail Lair from Simply Light Designs is a great hammock.
1/2" grosgrain is a popular choice.
seems like the vendor didn't understand what it was for. The cottage vendors that post on here would certainly splice it on there for you, if they knew this is how you wanted to use it. Maybe get...

The prussik looks right. I just think you are gonna have a really hard time adjusting the whoopie.
I would think that if you have the continuous loop larksheaded onto the whoopie, it would be much tougher to adjust. Phantom Grappler spliced his continuous loop onto the whoopie sling instead of by...
she's a beaut!

www.arrowhead-equipment.com
those should get you started
found this...
https://www.hammockforums.net/forum/showthread.php/134551-Twisted-Root-Flare-37-Underquilt-Review
that method will work just fine.
I like having separate continuous loops on my hammock though. That way, if the whoopies get wet, I don't have to pack them with my hammock.
can we see a pic with someone in the hammock?
not working for me
thanks for bringing this up. I like to browse by "New Posts", so I frequently see these postings, but have no clue which of the 10 or 12 states in that region that it could be in.
absolutely this. two hammocks for two people. Dutchware makes spreader bars that you can use to hang two hammocks side by side from the same trees. You'll need a big tarp though.
are you using the wasp on your hammock ridgeline?
I use an underquilt protector (UQP) from 2QZQ. not very heavy, and can help keep the wind from pulling heat from the UQ as well.
Jared is the man!
I see what you did there. heh
the amsteel does not hold knots well, and the knot really de-rates the strength of the cord.
I know several people do a similar thing with mule tape and a beckett hitch instead of the amsteel.
what's to stop the strips from just moving to the sides? Wouldn't they just move and you'd be lying on just one layer anyway?
thanks for posting this. like you said, don't see many pics of this tarp.
regular galvanized fence posts are not strong enough. as suggested earlier, you need steel tubing, or steel pipe.
He's amazingly fast, and his stuff is fantastic quality too!
Your post reminds me that I need to order a couple small things from him.
thanks for sharing this. looks nice.
I agree also. Great reputation as a vendor. Starting to see quite a few more posts about SLD. would be nice to see them in their own subforum.

I'll take the helinox chair one.
I'm an 80's rock fan, and I listen to Christian rock frequently as well. for hanging out around a campfire, give me a Pepsi!
I'm with TrailSlug, water and nature. the only electronics I carry is the gps.
congrats! love my Loco Libre gear!
Wilderness Logics has a small tarp they call the "Add a Porch"
http://www.wildernesslogics.com/ADD-A-PORCH-AAP.htm
that is awesome!
6 feet will work just fine.
I made a bipod stand with the tarps.com pass-thrus. I started with a 13' ridge pole for my 11' Envy-S and 11' WL tarp. It worked okay.
I later cut another piece so I could have a 14' ridge pole....
it may not be as comfortable, but a little sag in the ridgeline won't damage the hammock.
.... and ufdigga beat me by seconds!
the fleaz are made for 1.75mm cord. your lawsons is about 2.4 I think. you will have to spread the wing on the fleaz to accept the larger cord.
tap a flat screwdriver into the slot to slightly...
either of those suspensions will work just fine for you. I use whoopie hooks, and I weigh 255#. No problems whatsoever.
If you don't order continuous loops for the ends of the hammock, you will...
seems that I've seen 1500lb thrown around quite a bit.
check out Dutch's site
camo doesn't trip my trigger either. I've got blue, grey, black, and just received a blaze orange netless. Tarps are grey and black.
For the most part, I don't mind being seen.
careful, now. we take college football rather serious in these parts.
 made me chuckle
