Just what I have been looking for. I will try this tonight!
Awesome information here! Thanks!
If buying used is an option, I would be patient and wait for something to come available on craigslist. I have had great success with this and accumulated some pretty good pieces.
Good to know, I haven't used my Wooki yet, but will keep this in mind.
I have used the ENO Blaze and it works just fine on my BB XLC.
Good luck and post pics when you make your decision.
Very nice job! Snowing here too, but hoping to get out soon!
Project for this weekend! Thanks for the write up and pictures.
Great advice! +1
Our deck is the same way. I have given up trying to provide shade and moved my hammock to a shaded spot!
Awesome! Not sure how feasible it is to float a river, but just floating in a lake would be great!
Little piece of velcro will do the trick.
Do you have a picture, or directions?
Nice review. I have slept about a dozen nights in my XLC and have mostly found it to be comfortable. Thanks for taking the time to share your experience!
I also think the thrift stores are a great resource. If you are patient you will find some great down items that will work!
The gear closet is a great idea and will benefit scouts for years to come.
I'm not familiar with the bridge hammock at all, but this looks kind of cool. I would also worry about insulation and shoulder squeeze.
Just made the Loofah ones. Easy!
Good advice. I tend to pack for every eventuality. This gives me some things to reconsider.
Excellent!
Great idea! I don't have much to add, but have purchased the cheap stuff and gradually worked my way up. I wish I would have just bit the bullet and bought the good stuff from the start.
Very helpful, thank you!
Great tip! Can't wait to try it.
Great write up, another helpful piece of information to improve all of our hammock camping!
Awesome illustration! Thanks for putting this together!
Welcome to the forum. Feel free to add as you experience new things!
Good luck and let us know how things turn out!
Welcome from Idaho!
Hello and welcome from Idaho. Our boy scout troop has 8 boys with hammocks! You will love it!

Welcome from Idaho!
Sounds interesting. Is this to simply reduce or eliminate drafts on windy nights/days?
Awesome idea, thanks for sharing!
I have a good friend that introduced me to hammocking. It didn't take long before my entire family started, and now most of my friend do the same!
Shug has it nailed. Give that a try and see how it feels.
I have slept in many different brands and find them to be fairly similar. It seems to me that the setup is the key. I eventually ended up with a Warbonnet Blackbird XLC, mostly because I find it...
Interesting! I would never have guessed it would make that much difference!
Very helpful, thanks!
Very helpful! Thanks!
I started with just myself, but it quickly caught on. It is fun!
I don't have any specific recommendation, but think it could be fun!
Awesome write up! Thanks for sharing. This helps me plan better for my trips and will also keep me comfortable!
Panhandle of Idaho - Troy, right outside Moscow.
Wow, that is surprising! I use the Ember 2 and can comfortable sleep in the mid/high 40s.
