While the use of ballistic nylon would indeed make a substantial product I doubt it would function very effectively as a hammock. It is so stiff and infelxible it would not gather or compress very...
That is hardly the fault of the ENO hammock. More like operator error. Nylon hammocks are not intended to be left up indefinitely in the sun. Hence the need for proper care.

maybe I'm wrong but I am hearing "low maintenence" rather than "durability" If that's the case I would avoide the natural fibers for outside use. They are not affected by UV radiation that is true...
king size sheet is too short for _my_ taste and comfort particularly tied end. YMMV
