Bump
Still looking for any larger body hammocks.
Open to anything.
Thanks for the heads up.
Outandback,
I appreciate the offer, thank you but I will have to pass. After reevaluating my needs, I'm trying to stay on the cheap. I may just grab a 12ft gathered end for $50ish from one of the...

jeff-oh,
If all else fails I will pull the trigger on a FreeBird, 12ft. double layer as wide as possible in a 2.2oz fabric.
The double layer doesn't seem necessary but I will get it regardless. ...
Thanks for the share.
How is it holding up, or how well did it hold up?
Thank you very much!
This is sweet!!!
Hiya Fam,
For the last few years I've been enjoying a 11.5' x 6' Dream Hammock made by Randy.
Well a fire ember decided to say hello and it wasn't more than a few weeks later that my baby met...

I think you made a wise choice.

You're correct, this will be a family hammock.
Would like to buy enough Amsteel to splice two slings.
I'm thinking 25 foot would do it but I'm open to suggestions.
Minimum 3/16 but larger diameter is welcomed.
Just went ahead and bought some. Thanks for the offer bud.
Looking for two sets of descending rings. I'd prefer the SMC 32kn.
I am willing to pay or trade.
Thanks, I'll check it out.
I'm really wanting to set up a stationary hammock in the yard. Right now I have a dream hammock hanging and it's crazy nice. Holds my girl and I just fine. But what happens when the kiddos want to...
I have a bishop bag that is falling apart. It could use some tlc.
On the bright side of things... this brought me back to the forum. Life has caught up with me and it's nice to see familiar name.
Thank you for that much needed input. I'll pay closer attention next time. I'm still shocked it broke.
Replacements are not necessary but I'd sure appreciate it. I'll mail you the other one...
Now I know better :)
No worries, it happened so quick and I was so concerned as to what failed I jumped right up. I was only 10" off the grass.
Dutch is pretty awesome
I would of bet my money on the straps failing before the hardware.
You maybe correct there. I can say that the side that failed was set up according to the diagram. The tree was is very large and it simply hangs better that way.
As many times as I've hung this...
I'm about 260lbs right now. From all the pictures I've seen and ppl I've spoken with I've never received the impression that there is an up or down side to these hooks.
The Dutch hook bent over.

Here's the setup
On the side of the failure, the hook was right side up I believe.
Sorry, it took a sec to upload the pic.

I'm as shocked as anyone. Has anyone else experienced this or similar?
This is pretty interesting. I'm going to have to try it.
Praying for you brother, I know its scary.
Kelty makes pretty stout packs.
I'd much rather wait until dos is finished in this deal before I step in. She was before me in line.
Already gave away my cuben.
Rain pants will not fit you.
Hi, I do have an
Army issue inflatable pad
One cuben stuff sack
One pair of rain pants
I'll trade all three for the knife, I'm not using them atm.
Ps, that is if dos offer isn't accepted
How sweet is that!
Ha! That's awesome to bad I'm not still around, we could hang. Do you ever see the Kens Audio Video commercials ? I was their service manager in their main store by the mall. If you ever need...
Thank you very much.
I've had several of my threads deleted by mods. Before I was donating member I would post general camping/outdoor concerns or ideas in the general forum. I may have posted my thoughts on moved...
My wife took a job there so we packed up ans settled in. We were there three years on zebulon. Are you in Macon now?
It would help your cause if you added a list of items for trade or better yet added some pictures.
I think I'm going to hold off atm, thanks for the response.
I'm interested in your bridge hammock but I'm not sure if it would be comfy or even hold my weight. I'm 6'1 and 290lbs.
I'm glad someone else feels that way as well, thought o was the only one. I tried that app when it was free on Amazon. I didn't like it at all, nothing about it appealed to me.
Welcome from Pa. Actually not long ago I was a Ga hanger. Spent three years in Macon.
I just went back and read your entire post like I should have the first time. To resolve this there are three things you can do
1) Tuck a pillow under your knees while sleeping
2) Adjust your sag...
I hear ya bud, its that same reason that made me give up my eno double. I never noticed it as much while just hanging around but as soon as I tried to sleep over night in it .... Calf pressure! I...
I just sold the knife
