Hennesssy Expedition Asym Classic with stock tarp, used a fair amount but still in great condition no wear or tears, whoopie slings and some quality carabiners added last fall. Summer pheonix...
Thanks for looking into it. If you click the checkbox at the top of the page you linked me to, you'll see some more shipping options. The cheapest one says $4.90.
The customs forms are relatively...
i did a quick guesstimate on the usps.com site and it said $5.75 based on a shipping weight of a pound(not sure how much packaging and the windscreen/stakes and stuff weigh) for First-Class Mail®...
how much extra to ship to nova scotia, canada? postal code b3l 1g6.
this could be the ace in the hole! i'm going to print it out and shove it in my hammock bag for next time. what do you use for tarp ridgeline material?
it looks like the photo above from anthony is using his tie outs so maybe i'll have to try that, i found that if i didn't use the tie outs the quilt wrapped up around my shoulders fairly well.
i use a summer pheonix on my hennessy and it fits pretty well. i just don't use the tie outs on the body of the hennessy. the only thing that sucks is that my hammock is the bottom entry one so...
i added whoopie slings to mine and i really like how simple it has made it to pitch the hammock. i use whoopie slings and the stock tree straps with a couple carabiners to hold the ends of the tree...
I know it's been awhile, but I finally got around to dismantling mine to put whoopie slings on and took pics while in the process, so let me know if you still need them and i'll post them.
i'm going to be attaching whoopie slings to mine in the next couple days. i'll try to remember to take pictures of how the stock suspension is attached.
oh exciting. it shipped today!!!
Thanks for all the warm welcomes everyone.
yeah, i suppose i don't really have a basis for comparison. i'll certainly try out a bigger model when i get the chance.
why'd you have to link me to that !? i think i need to start a separate savings account for hammock upgrades.
I ordered the same thing as you, order number 772. I'm guessing at the rate that people are ordering and the fact that mine has to clear customs that it will be a month before I see mine. Might be...
I figured I'd better say hello before asking the plethora of questions that will inevitably be coming up (don't worry, I know how to use the search button so that should keep them to as few as...
i have the hennessy asym (not the ultralight) which has the same dimensions I believe (just heavier fabric) and i'm 6'2 and 195lbs.
the web-site says it fits 6'0 and 200 lbs for the backpacker...
